Untitled, chapter 3

Review:
He can't be dead. Then why was it on the news? And why was everyone calling him Jon? Was this story Christy just told him true? And these memories, what were these memories?

A day had passed since Billie heard the news of his own death. Christy had left the hospital after visiting hours closed that night. She came back first thing the next morning to take him home.

After checking Billie out of the hospital, the two got into Christy's car and drove off. As they were driving, the scenary started to look familiar to Billie... Even though he knew he had never been there before. Confused, Billie just closed his eyes.

The car finally pulled into a parking lot beside an apartment building. The two of them stepped out of the car and made their way to the building. Christy's apartment was on the seventh level. When they finally reached the seventh floor and made their way to her apartment, Christy opened the door and Billie looked into his new home.

Billie wondered around the apartment. It wasn't as big as the house he made with Adrienne, but it wasn't that bad either. For some strange reason it felt like home to him. The phone rang, interrupting Billie's thoughts. Christy walked to the kitchen and answered it.

"Hello?... Oh hi Kelly... Yeah he's alright... He's doing fine. The doctors said he'll be his regular self in a day or two... Oh no, that's okay you don't need to come over everything's okay." Christy talked on the phone for a while leaving Billie to continue to wonder around his "home".

That's when he found the photographs on the wall. He stared at them in wonder. Almost all the photographs were the same. They all pictured the same two people. He recongnized the woman in them as Christy. But the man in the pictures... He had never seen them before. He looked closer at the photographs. One of them was of Christy and the man at the beach, Christy was holding the camera with her right hand as she leaned into the picture with the man who was holding a beer. All the pictures were similar to that, all of them had the happy couple in some kind of outing.

There was one photograph that caught his attention. It was of Christy and the man in a boat fishing in the middle of a pond. The man held up his hand showing a cut he had just received. Billie looked down to his right hand and noticed the scar. Then he looked at another picture of the man. This one was taken in a tattoo parlor. The man was smiling for the camera showing off his new tattoo, a celtic cross with Christy name writting upon it. Billie rolled up his left sleeve and to his amazement saw the same tattoo that was in the photograph.

Billie grabbed the picture and ran into the bathroom. He looked long and hard at the photograph and then into the mirror. The man in the photograph was staring back at him. His legendary green eyes were now blue, his shaggy black hair now looked a brown red. Even his smile was different. Billie dropped the picture on the floor. The glass of the frame broke leaving the picture to fall out. Billie picked it up and found writing on the back. The writing was cursive, obviously Christy had written on it.

Jon at the tattoo parlor getting his new tattoo for my birthday.
