Untitled, chapter 4
Billie stared blankly into the mirror. He was the man in the picture. That's why everyone kept calling him Jon. He was Jon. For some reason, Billie Joe Armstrong was no more.
Not knowing what was real and what wasn't any more, Billie stumbled out of the bathroom and back into the main hallway. Billie hurried into the living room. He fell onto the couch holding his head in his hands.
"Jon? Honey what's wrong?" Christy asked. She made her way out of the kitchen and into the living room. Sitting down next to Billie she put her arms around his shoulders. She started rubbing his back with one of her hands.
"Everything's changed. Nothing's the same." Billie whimpered out. He started to feel tears falling from his eyes. He hid his face from Christy hiding the fact he was crying.
"I understand you might feel like things are different after the accident. We'll work through it to help you get better..." Christy started comforting him.
"I just want my life back!" Billie shouted through his hands. Christy froze, her hand stopped in its place.
Now it was Christy's turn to start crying. She took her hands off of Billie's back. She didn't understand what he meant by his old life. His life before her?
"Jon, what are you saying?" Christy asked. There was a slight cry in her voice.
"I want everything to go back to the way it was before any of this happened." Billie let it all out. Christy looked down to the floor as tears fell down her cheeks.
"I understand." Christy said. She got up and walked out of the room. Billie heard the bedroom door quietly close.
Billie finally lifted his head. Looking over towards the kitchen he saw the keys to the car sitting on the counter. Billie got up off the couch, walked over towards the counter, grabbed the keys, and headed out the door.
