They Don't Even Know!, chapter 1
Lexi turned over, 15 minutes and then she had to get up for work. She wouldn't mind so much but she hadn't got much sleep that night. Her parents were arguing again, they weren't even married any more and they argued more nowadays than they ever did when they were together! It depressed her to a certain extent but she always found ways to get over it. Music was her only friend, well that and "American idiot" He was her Internet friend with whom she had met in a chat room called "Gigabites" they were originally comparing concert reviews, but things kind of escalated. The alarm clock suddenly went and Lei stood up. She made her way to her bare wardrobe and found her black worksheet and pants. She changed and put on her make-up and brushed her hair, applied her jeweler to both arms and went downstairs.
***Upon entering the kitchen, she noticed her mum sat reading the newspaper and sipping coffee, "Can I get you one?" said her mum, making Lei jump, "No, it's okay, will you give me a ride to work?" said Lexi smiling weakly at her mother.
"Sure, let me get ready then" said her mum running upstairs. Within 10 minutes, Lexi and her mum were driving in the car. Lexi had her feet on the dashboard and was inserting a CD into the disc player, once the disc was in she pressed full volume, which made the car shake! "Lexi, feet down, volume down" sighed her mum who was quite used to this bored routine in the mornings. Lexi did as she was told, not that it mattered she was outside work. Lexi worked in a cute coffee place on the corner of 5th street. As she entered she noticed how busy it was, busier than normal for rush hour. She dipped behind the counter and hung up her coat and bag, she found her apron and opened up the cash register. The first customer came over, Lexi prepared her order and what seemed like a thousand others that morning until the shop started to clear. Lexi looked at the clock, still half an hour until her shift ended. "What should I do now?" Lexi asked her boss, Sally. "Take some orders from the seating area, notepads are on the side." Lexi found her notepad and wandered over to the seating area where three guys and three girls were sat talking. Oh God, they all went to her school, the girls hated her, great, just great! "Hey, can I take your orders?" said Lexi trying to hide her face. "Oh my God, you go to our school" said the Queen Bee, Brittany Fairworth, say something off-subject thought Lexi "Umm yeah, I guess I do" Damn, that was lame thought Lexi. "Okay, don't tell me who you are," said Brittany, "Alice, who is she?" Brittany asked her sidekick. Alice produced a flippy book from her purse. "Umm," said Alice searching, "You are Lexi Parker," smiled Alice with a satisfied look on her face. "Sexy Lexi" laughed Brittany's boyfriend, Billie Joe. The guy Lexi had a huge crush on! Brittany shot him a dirty look "Er Billie, you didn't just say that, right?" "Right!" said Billie and when Brittany turned around Billie slapped his wrists and pouted. Making his best friends (and fellow hotties!) Mike and Tre laugh. It also made Lexi giggle making Billie stare at her. Billie smiled, God he was hot thought Lexi wait no stop idiot his girlfriend is there! "So, you guys want anything?" said Lexi "Ok," said Mike "Can we have three iced coffee's and girls," "three low fat plain ice teas" said Alice before going back to brushing Brittany's hair for her. "I'll be right back" she said. Lexi got someone else to take the order for her and went outside to wait for her mum.
***Once her mum was there Lexi got in the car. "How was work?" asked her mum "it was okay, same as ever" Lexi didn't feel like chatting and put her music on loud enough to drown out her thoughts. Whe she got home she ran upstairs and switched the computer on and logged in to her favourite chatroom, "American idiot" was online!
AMERICAN IDIOT: hi

WHATSRENAME: No i had a really crap time at work, god there really are some jackasses in this world

Lexi flopped on her bed, she had a bad case of Billie on the brain and didn't know how to shed it! She put on the stereo and put in her Ramones CD and sung loudly to Blitzkrieg bop. She took out her black nail varnish and painted her nails to bide some time. "Dinner's ready Lexi!" her mum called up to her come on. Lexi sighed got up and prepared for an argument.
