They Don't Even Know!, chapter 2
Lexi went downstairs into the kitchen where her mum was serving up meatballs and pasta. "Mum, I told you I am not eating meat, I'm a vegatarian and you know that" "Lexi honey, I am sure that all the iccle animals will forgive you for one night, now come on, eat up" "Get bent" said Lexi under breath, she meant for it to come out quietly but her mum heard. "What?" said her mum looking slightly angry, "I said Get bent" Lexi said standing up, staring her mum out, "Well if that's how you feel" said her mum "You are being ridiculous, over nothing!" said her mum smiling "To you it's nothing, to me it's something" said Lexi getting mad, "Is this why you have no friends Alexia, because you're strange?" Lexi didn't want to hear any more and without notice she grabbed her shoes and left, slamming the door behind her.
***She wondered where she would go, the park? Yes she thought, somewhere she could think. She made her way to the park gates and sat on the bench overlooking the beach and the sea. Should I go and live with dad? She thought, he has always said if things get hectic with mum she could live with him, I mean there are no reasons to stay here, she sighed there are no reasons to live anymore. She began to cry, she couldn't believe she had just contemplated taking her own life, were things that bad? "Erm, can I sit here" said a male voice from behind her. "Sure" she sniffed before turning round to see who it was. It was Billie Joe, the guy from school, the guy from the coffee place, the guy she had loved since she could remember! "Hey, it's Sexi Lexi!" he smiled laughing slightly until he noticed her crying "Oh god, I didn't make you cry did I, sorry" he said pouting. "No, you didn't make me cry, it's just stuff" she said wiping away the tears that refused to stop falling. "Stuff, kay stuff..." said Billie raising an eyebrow, "Your two cherries still intact, if you know what I mean?" said Billie giggling "Ewww Billie, YES!" she said disgusted, but she was smiling. Billie stared at the as the wind made her hair fly backwards, she was perfect. No Billie, he thought, don't get in to deep! But it was to late Billie was in as far as it was possible to go without metioning love. "So you gonna tell me what's wrong, or do I have to tickle it out of you?" he said, beggining to tickle her gently near her stomach. "Well," she began, how could she keep a secret from him he was adorable! His brilliant green eyes glittered with anticipation as she said "It's just my mum I keep fighting with her and i'm sick of school, you know the whole no friends thing" "I bet my girlfriend doesn't make things any better, does she?" Lexi was dying to say "why because she is dating the one guy I love?" but she didn't. "Things will get better" he said putting his arm around her and squeezing her tightly, she looked at him and smiled and together they stared into the sea. Man, thought Billie this girl is the opposite to Brittany, i'm the opposite to Brittany, it really is over between us. Billie sighed loudly "You Ok" said Lexi looking at Billie and without replying Billie leaned in and kissed her but eventually Lexi he'sitantly pulled away "Billie, we can't, Brittany is your girlfriend, I'm sorry" Lexi stood up and walked away crying again, she could hear Billie calling after her, but she couldn't go back to him, she had to go and face home.
