They Don't Even Know!, chapter 3
Lexi's heart was breaking. Life was such a mess. She had the one thing she wanted and she couldn't keep it because of whores like Brittany. She continued to walk home, tears streaming down her face. She went round the corner and saw Brittany making out with someone. God, Billie you are a fast mover thought Lexi. Until that fatal moment when she realised it wasn't Billie! So Brittany was cheating on Billie, and Lexi had just wasted a kiss with a great guy! Lexi couldn't go over, this was something Billie had to find out for himself. She turned round and opted for the long walk home.
Lexi swung the front door open to find her mum watching tv in the living room, lexi chose to ignore and slammed the door and ran upstairs. The sound of her loud alarm clock woke her up, time to get ready for school. Great, she thought, realising she had fallen to sleep in her clothes from yesterday. She slowly climbed out of bed and dragged a brush through her hair, she dressed in her Nirvana top and her baggy jeans, she slipped her feet into her Doc Martens. Once she had applied her eyeliner and grabbed her bag she went to the living room.
Her mum was there in the lounge watching TV, "Mum, I'm off to school now" Lexi said, "Right honey take your keys, I won't be in when you come home and I think that when I do come home we need a chat about last night" said her mum smiling weakly. Lexi walked off and left for school. The walk to school was always a lonely one and one which she was faced with five days a week. It never got better, it never got worse. "Lexi," She turned around to see Billie stood there smiling at her. "Can we talk?" he asked shyly kicking a can across the road, "what do call what we are doing now?" said Lexi smiling. The pair walked down the road together side by side. "So, about last night" said Billie looking the other way. "What about it?" said Lexi trying to avoid his gaze. "I wanted more to happen and I think you did too" Lexi stopped in her tracks "Billie stop, you are with Brittany and we can't be together okay!" She noticed Billie's hurt expression and stopped, " I'm sorry" she hugged him and suddenly found herself kissing him again! They pulled apart and Billie smiled, Lexi couldn't help smile too with Billie's arms round her waist, she finally felt loved and accepted.
The bell went signalling the end of a long day at school. Lexi hadn't seen Billie since that morning and the pair had arranged to walk home. Lexi walked out of school with Billie in her mind, everything was changing and it made Lexi feel great she finally had a reason to get up in the mornings, she hoped he felt the same.
