It Started Out With Coffee At Starbucks, chapter 4
After going to see Finding Nemo, Mike, Rachel and Estelle went to the park then Mike and Rachel drove Estelle home. By the time they got back to Sacramento it was 8pm. Mike pulled the BMW into the car park and said "How about we just order room service?"
"Sounds good."
Mike and Rachel got out of the BMW and went upstairs to Mike's room. When they got into his room, Mike picked up the room service book and said "So what would you like?" "Ummmm... I don't know what is there?" "A lot of things... Just name something... It's probably in here." "I can't think of anything..." "What about pizza? Do you like pizza?" "Who doesn't like pizza?" Mike laughed and said "You know that's true." "I can handle pizza." Mike opened the book and said "Okay what kind? There's a bunch of different ones or you can just pick what you want." "I'd really like one with pepperoni and cheese and bacon." "Okay so I'll order one with that." "I thought you were vegetarian?" "No... Well I kinda used to be but I couldn't stand not eating meat when I tried to be vegetarian... Where'd you here that I was?" "Bridget read it online and told me." Rachel rolled her eyes and said "My sister is more obsessed with Tre and finding things out about you guys than I ever was with you and she didn't even know who you guys were until Warning." Mike laughed and said "We'll have to teach her Green Day 101 sometime." Rachel laughed and Mike said " Now what do you want to drink?" "A Smirnoff Black Ice." "Okay." Mike called in their order and about 20 minutes later it was delievered to the hotel room.
When they were done eating their pizza, Mike turned on the tv and said "You wanna watch a movie or something?" "Okay." "So... Which one there's a bunch on here like uhh... Saw, The Ring, Vanity Fair, The Village, Eurotrip, Cursed..." "Can we watch Eurotrip?" "If you want. I would've thought you would pick Saw, Cursed or The Ring." "Why?" "I just thought you might've wanted to." "So I could go like this?" Rachel snuggled into Mike and hid into his shoulder making him laugh then he said "Yeah but if you want to watch Eurotrip we'll watch that." "Then we'll watch Cursed... It scares the hell out of me. So then I can hide in your shoulder for all of it." "You do know it's about werewolves right? How could it be that scary?" "I don't like werewolves." Mike laughed again and said "You can really make me laugh you know that... Tre can really make a person laugh but no girl I've dated has ever made me laugh like you." "I'll take that as a compliment."
Eurotrip started and by the time it finished, Mike has his arm around Rachel's shoulders. As they watched Cursed, Rachel hid behind Mike a total of about 20 times and by the time it ended it was almost midnight. When Cursed ended, Mike turned on MTV only to find American Idiot playing. Him and Rachel laughed and when it ended, My Chemical Romance's video for Helena started. As it was playing, Mike kissed Rachel on the lips and said "You can stay the night if you want." "Okay." Rachel kissed Mike back and the kiss got passionate.
Soon, Mike picked Rachel up and carried her into the bedroom. Without breaking their current kiss he laid her on the bed and Rachel started to unbuckle his belt. With Rachel working on getting his pants off, Mike took her tank top off and then his shirt. Then Mike's pants were off and pushed across the floor by his foot. Finally, Mike thrust inside Rachel and their night of passion began. Everytime Rachel moaned Mike's name that night, he seemed to get the strength to keep going.
The next morning, Rachel was woken up to sunlight coming into the bedroom from the window. She felt an arm over side and turned over to see who it was. When she saw Mike laying there next to her asleep, everything from the night before came back to her. Their in-room dinner, the movies, and then the kiss that led to so much more. She kissed him lightly on the lips and he replied by saying "You know it's not nice to watch a person sleeping." "You're awake?" Mike opened his eyes and smiled at Rachel.
"Yes I'm awake. I have been for the last 5 minutes or since about the time you turned over." "Sorry." "It's okay. It's 11 anyways." "You're kidding?" "No... Look." Mike pointed at the clock on the table by Rachel's side and when she looked at it, it indeed said 11:00. "Oh my god. I've gotta go. My plane leaves in two and a half hours." "It's okay... Call Bridget and tell her you're flying home with me and the guys. We have to do this thing at Much Music tomorrow so we have to fly out tonight and then tomorrow you can come with us and I'll tell everyone who you are." "I don't know Mike. Well I mean of course I'll fly back with you but the Much Music thing I don't know..." "C'mon... I don't want to wait till TRL can't we tell people now?" "You're like a little kid on Christmas morning." "Stella's taught me well." Rachel laughed and said "Okay we can tell people now." Mike kissed Rachel and she said "Question... Do you think we could put a little lie on how long we've been dating?" "What's the little lie?" "3 months... Please it's just I don't want them starting rumors now since the whole thing with Britt." "I suppose you can... But how'd we meet?" "At a club show... In New York while you were there for school. And we've been seeing each other whenever we could cause of my schedule since then." "How long did that take you to think up?" "The drive back from Oakland last night."
Rachel kissed Mike and he climbed out of bed. He walked over to his suitcase and pulled out jeans and a black t-shirt then he pulled out a red t-shirt and a pair of boxers and put them on the bottom of the bed. "Put them on while I'm in the shower then we're going to get your stuff." Rachel did a mock army salute and said "Yes sir."
Mike walked into the bathroom and a little while later he emerged smelling really good and Rachel was sitting on the bed in his boxers and t-shirt talking on the phone to Bridget. She gave him the one second signal and said goodbye to Bridget. "What was she saying?" "Gave me a hard time for not coming back yesterday and for flying back with you later. I swear she's a mini form of our mom." "Ready to go get your stuff?" "Yeah." Rachel got off the bed and was no sooner on Mike's back because he was giving her a piggy back to her room.
When they walked in, he put her down and she went to her room. An hour later, Rachel came out with her two suitcases and Mike was watching tv with Isabelle and Nicole. Rachel sighed and said "Where's Bridget?" "Grabbing her stuff before we leave." "Nicole watch her... I'll be in shit when I show up home anyways I don't need to get in more trouble cause of something to do with her." "Will do." "Ready to go Mike?" "Yeah." He took her suitcases and they went back to his room.
The second they walked into the living room and Mike had the bags down, Rachel grabbed her phone out of her purse and called her mom. "Hey mom." "Rachel?" "Yes mom it's Rachel your first daughter..." "Oh hi sweetheart. How was California? The concert? How's Bridget?" "It was fun. The concert was cancelled cause of an earthquake... God mom watch more tv. And she's fine. Listen I'm only calling to tell you I'm not flying home with Bridget." "Why?" "I met this guy and he uh... Well his band is flying to Toronto tonight so he offered to let me fly back with them." "Who's this guy? I don't want you around someone you don't know." "Mom I'm 23 I can take care of myself and the guy's name is Mike. Mike Dirnt." "Rachel stop lying to me what is his name?" "I'm serious. It's really him and I'm dating him too and I'm not going back to college this fall." "Why aren't you going back to college?" "I'm going on tour with Green Day." "Bring him to the house when you land." "But..." "But nothing Rachel Elizabeth Sawyer. You may be 23 and dating a rockstar but you're still my daughter and I want to meet him." "His name is Mike..." "Fine. I want to meet Mike." "Bye mom. I've got to go now." "Goodbye."
Rachel closed her phone and Mike walked over to her. "You aren't going back to school?" "I'll go to UC Berkeley after tour. I'm with you guys from now until tour ends then it's Berkeley for me." "YES! My girlfriend's coming with me on all of tour!" Mike picked Rachel up, kissed her and spun her around. As Rachel's feet touched the floor their was a knock on the door.
Mike went and answered it and a few minutes later Mike followed by Billie, Adrienne, Tre, and Claudia came into the room. "Hi Rachel." "Hi Adrienne." "Was Mike telling the truth when he told Billie you're coming on tour in October cause me and Claude could use another shopping buddy." "Uh... Actually I'm coming in September. I've decided to put college on hold for a little while to be with Mike." "Aww... That's sweet." Tre turned on the tv and said "Yeah aww... That's so sweet Adie. I'm bored. Can we find something to do please?" Billie and Mike looked and him and Billie said "We leave in 6 hours." "So doesn't mean we can't find something to do." Claudia sat in his lap and said "We could go back to our room for a while." Tre's eyes lit up and he smiled. "We'll be in our room come get us when it's time to leave." "Yeah."
Tre and Claudia left then Adrienne said "So what did you two do yesterday?" Mike looked up from talking to Rachel and said "We went and took Stella to see Finding Nemo for the hundredth time then we took her to the park and drove back here." Billie smiled then said "And then?" "We ordered pizza from here and watched a few movies." "And then Rachel got in your pants. Right?" Rachel laughed, Mike shook his head and Adrienne hit Billie in the stomach all at the same time then Adrienne said "Billie stop it. If anything happened last night why would they tell you. We don't tell people." Billie laughed then said "Adrienne got in my pants last night." "My god Billie!" Adrienne shook her head and Mike finally spoke up and said "You wanna know what happened last night Bill?" "Yes." "Too bad... That's between me and Rach."
Billie looked disappointed and said "Why do you always say that when you don't wanna tell me?" "Cause it tortures you." "Yeah, yeah... Anyways who wants to go grab something to eat?" Mike, Rachel, and Adrienne all said "Me." in unison and the four left to go find a restaurant to eat at.
