Secret Affairs, chapter 13
"Emma, fuck! Emma's awake, Billie Joe! Emma's awake." Tre said to Billie Joe who was too busy eating the grapes he brought Emma.
"Oh god so she is, Emma speak, how are you feeling?"
Emma never spoke she didn't have enough energy but instead she squeazed Tre's hand weakly. Slowly Emma's eyes closed again and she started to turn very pale.
"FUCK! Nurse! Emma's dying!" Tre said frantically.
"Tre, she's not dying calm down!"Billie Joe said trying his very best to calm him down. The nurse put an oxygen mask on Emma to make her stable.
"Guys I think you should leave and Tre you should rest you've been up most of the night, we'll call you within the next 2 hours to inform of Emma's condition."
The nurse showed Tre and Billie Joe the door and they both left. Tre's eyes were filling up. Tre never went back to Billie's car though he just kept on walking, he didn't know where he was going.
"Tre man wait up where you going?"Billie Joe said catching up with Tre.
Tre stopped and sat on the bench next to him with his head in his hands.
"Tre pull your self together Emma will be ok the nurse said so."
"When did the nurse say that?"Tre asked .Billie Joe hesitated.
"Well she did say it when..when you were getting a cup of tea."
"I never went for a cup of tea, Billie don't try and make me feel better I need some time."Tre said getting up.
"I'll take you back to the hotel and you can get some sleep." Billie Joe said directing Tre to the car.They drove back to the hotel to find the others.In th hotel room Laura and Carly were watching T.V and Mike was slumped in his seat eating a bag of crisps. Laura's eyes were red and swollen, she didn't look like she'd slept a wink. Laura jumped up off the bed.
"Tre, Billie, how's Emma is she ok?"
"Well we don't know, she seems stable."Tre said trying not to give much away.
"Billie, who was it that spiked Emma do you know him? Can you remember what he looked like?"Tre asked. Billie Joe wasn't sure if he should say anything because he new what Tre might do but he decided Tre deserved to know.
"Well, I think he was a regular because the bar tender kept calling him by his name ."
"What was his name"Tre asked.
"I think it was James or something like that, he had dark brown hair and a big hoody on but I can't remember much more than that "
"I'm going back there tonight to sort this guy out, I've had enough of guys like him to laat me a life time"Tre said
"Tre you can't you'll get hurt and besides you'll only make things worse"Carly said switching off the T.V.
"Carly, this James guy has to learn a lesson, I'm going there tonight and that's final there ain't nothing you can do to stop me."
"Well I'm coming too cause I'm not seeing you get hurt "Mike said.
"Yeah and me I'm with you this guy won't be gonig back to that bar for a while" Billie Joe said joining in. Just then the phone rang. Tre quickly answered the phone.
"Hello, is Emma alright, is she ok? Ok well I'll be round in a minute" Tre hung up and grabbed his coat.
"Tre is Emma ok, has she come round?"Mike asked.
"It looks like it."Tre said gicing a faint smile. Every one left, Tre drove everyone down to the hospital.Everyone ran into the hospital.
"Sorry you can't go in there" The receptionist said.
"Too fucking right I'm going in there!"Tre yelled.
"Oh are you Tre, Emma's girlfriend?"
"Yeah so I'm going in!"
"Oh sorry sir go straight ahead"But before the woman could finish what she was saying, the 5 of them were already beside Emma.She was sitting upright in her bed and looking much better.
"Oh god so she is, Emma speak, how are you feeling?"
