Secret Affairs, chapter 15
"What the f.."Tre said.
"Hello Tre it's nice to see you"Tom said laughing .His mates joined in.
"Tom get the hell out if here or I'll..I'll call the police!"Mike said.
"Yeah we're scared"The man standing next to Tom said sarcastically.
"What is your problem? What is it you've got against us? Are you jealous that we've got a band who actually sells records?"Billie Joe said lauging looking for support from Tre and Mike. But they just stood there staring at the knife Tom grasped in his hand.
"NO! Why the hell would be jealous of a couple of losers who can play the guitar and the drums? Ok I'll tell you why I've always hated you guys. Do you remember when we were about 14?"
"Well yeah but.."Billie Joe thought hard and then realised why Tom had always had it in for them.
"You 3 guys used to make my life hell, you used to bully me, push me around, I used to run home from school"Tom said. Billie Joe, Mike and Tre burst into uncontrolable laughter.
"OMG, Tom.."Mike said catching his breath from laughing."I remember you, the little weed in our year."
"Oh god, Billie Joe do you remember that time we locked Tom in that
locker?"Tre said cracking up laughing. Laura, Carly and Emma stood in the corner trying to pretend that they didn't find this funny at all but they couldn't help themselves.
"Quit laughing"Tom said blushing.
"Or what weed?"Tre said.
Tom struck Tre with his knife. Tre saw the blood on his arm and hit Tom across the head with the guitar lying next to him.
"oh fuck, I think he's unconcious."Billie Joe said seriously.
The rest of Tom's friends scarpered.
"Oh shut up Billie, he fucking hit me with his knife!"Tre said.
"You fucking knocked him out with Mike's bass! What the hell we gonna do?"
"Hmm I'll wake him up"Tre said kicking him lightly on the side of his head.
"That worked"Laura said rushing over.
"Why don't we call the hospital and tell them that he..starting attacking Tre, which he did and then Tre hit him back in self defence"Laura said.
"Yeah you really knock the hell out of someone in self defence"Mike said sarcastically.
"Well can you think of a better idea, we could always tell the hosptial that you wacked him over the head with Mike's base because your a loon"
"Yeah ok I get the picture."
Carly phoned an ambulance while Emma tryed her best to make Tom look less badly hurt.
"Ambulance..yeah Tom Reed, our friend (muffled laughter in the background) has fell unconscious, yeah number 15 in the flats, Green street in Rodeo, thank you."Carly hung up.
"The ambulance will be here in 10 mins" Carly said.
"What was all that crap about him being our friend about?"Billie Joe said laughing.
"Yeah, you guys should have shut up laughing, do you know how bad that sounds
laughing when we're calling for an ambulance?"Carly said crossly.
"Yeah I see what you mean but since when was he our friend?"
"Well I'm hardly gonna say ,our worst enemy, Tom Reed has just suddenly fell unconscious, am I? That wouldn't be suspiscious or anything."Carly said proving a point.
"Yeah ok I see your point"Billie Joe agreed.
The ambulance arrived 10 minutes later.
"Would any of you like to come to the hospital to keep Tom company?"The ambulance driver asked.Tre bit his lip hard to stop himself laughing.
"Emm, no thanks I think we'll give that a miss."Mike said giving Tre a harsh look as if to say shut up!
