An hour later we were pulling into the driveway. I grabbed my stuff and went to call my best friend Katy. She loved Green Day too so I knew she would be excited.
""Hey Katy!""
""Hey! Where were you? Ive been calling you all day!""
""Sorry...I forgot my cell phone... what do you need?""
""You know how my b-day is tomorrow? I cant have my party yet cuz my parents are out of town, but they said you can come over for a few days. Do you want to?""
""Yeah! Ill be right there!""
I hung up and packed my stuff. I knew that my mom wouldn't mind. I told her I would be back in a fewdays and started walking. About half way there I got an idea. I sat down on the sidewalk and dialed Billie's number.
""Hello?""
""Hi Billie.""
""Damn! You missed me already? What's up?""
""Could you do me a favor?""
""Like what?""
""My best friend Katy really likes Green Day, and it's her birthday tomorrow, and I was wondering if you could..""
""Tell her happy birthday?""
""Yeah...would you mind?""
""No...I'd love to tell your best friend happy birthday...is she a teenie?""
""No.""
""Damn... I love teenies...they always tell me how fucking sexy I am...""
""You are so conceited.""
""I know. Hey, Ive got an even better idea! What if I came and picked you guys up? We could go to California and meet the guys!""
""You seriously wouldnt mind?""
""It can be a birthday present for your friend. I'll see you in about an hour!""
""OK! Thanks Billie!""
Then I ran to Katy's house to tell her.
""Are you fucking serious?""
""Yes I am. If you feel you need to worship my awesomeness, I wont stop you.""
""I think I love you.""
""Katy, I think I love me too.""
We told Katy's older brother that she was staying with me for a few days. Then we went outside to wait for Billie. Half an hour later he pulled ionto Katy's driveway. He walked up to us and started to introduce himself to Katy, but he stopped. Katy had fainted.
My first instinct was to kick her.I had been kicking her for about 5 minutes when she woke up.Billie helped her up. They talked for a few minutes before Billie turned to me.
""Are we still going to California or did I drive down here so your friend could stare at my sexiness all day?""
That comment woke Katy up. I laughed.
""Yeah. I'm ready. Hey, Katy, are you ready to go? Or do you need a few minutes to drool over Billie Joe?""
""Shut up! You have no room to talk... I'm not the one who has Billie Joe plastered all over my bedroom...""
""Hey now! My bedroom is no one's business. Are you ready or not?""
""Yeah...I'm ready!""
Billie was laughing. ""When you two are done discussing how drop dead gorgeous I am, we can get going. I'll be in the car.""
Katy ran inside to get her bag. Then both of us climbed into Billie Joe's car and we started driving to California.
""Hey Katy!""
