Another Brick In The Wall, chapter 1
Introduction- What happened over the years. Sequal to Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine
Years came and years went. It was a vicious cycle yet it always seemed to replay somehow no matter where in the world it was. The wind would beat down into the sand and someone's heart would be broken in two. Their first love gone forever yet they're there in front of you. Everywhere you look, everything you hear, everything you touch, even smell. There. Stuck to you like a magnet that would be there until the day of death. It was a "till death do we part" type thing except the people involved never see each other. At all. They live separate lives and one which one magnetic partner avoided the other for years, in any way possible. It was like when you turn a magnet away from each other. You could push one magnet towards it, yet it's still repel away. You felt bad for that magnet. There were some days when it'd try so hard, only to be pulled back by other magnets around it.
But enough with the science and sentimental shit mix.
Even if that analogy works, there was another truly different yet accurate one. They were everywhere.
Jenny sat in a bar in Minneapolis while they were out on tour. It was only two years since she had last seen Billie Joe. Yes she was only 20 but some how she had managed not to be carded even though it was law in the state no matter how old you looked. She was hunched over her drink and stirred it around in the glass by simply spinning the glass around a little. She studied the liquid as it sloshed around slightly.
She was startled when a woman that looked a few years older than her walked in and sat down next to her on the stool. She looked a bit flustered.
"What can I get you?" The bartender asked her. The woman looked at him with lazy eyes, then over to Jenny.
"I'll have whatever she has" She answered, almost slurring the words out from being tired, not from intoxication from somewhere else. The bartender turned away from the two sitting at the bar and went to make the drink. The woman turned to Jenny. "I recognize you. Have I met you before?"
"Maybe. It's a small world" She said.
"Well I'm in need of someone to talk to about man troubles. How about you?"
"I guess you could say that" Jenny sighed and took a sip of the drink.
"Well. You go first"
"Uhh. Well about two years ago I left the love of my life for my band to move to Jersey to record. And it's haunting me. His band's here. I'm trying so hard not to run into him..." Jenny stopped there. "What's your troubles?"
"I broke it off with my boyfriend tonight too. He's in a band that's touring too.. they're here too... How odd.. And ironically I'm still going to their show tonight... anyways. He lives in California and I live out here.. I figure we should probably just be friends or something.. I felt so bad. He's a great guy" She paused. "I'm Adrienne by the way"
"Jenny Wingood" She responded. Adrienne studied her profile for a moment and realized who she was.
"I KNOW WHERE I KNOW YOU!" She cried. "You're the drummer from Spontaneous Combustion and.. Johnny Ramones kid. So wait. You're name is Lyza Ramone.."
"Yeah.." Jenny said. Different stage name than what she originally planned. She looked at her watch on her wrist noticing she needed to get out of their soon.
"Say. You wanna go to the show with me tonight? My girls ditched me" She offered her. Jenny hesitated to answer. She knew she couldn't.
"Umm.. I can't.. But what's the band called? Maybe we'll run into them somewhere else on the tour"
"Green Day" She answered simply.
"Green Day.." Jenny repeated. "Never heard of them"
"Well here. Take this" Adrienne said, digging through her bag. She pushed a few long black dreadlocks out of her face as she continued to rummage through her things. Alas, she pulled out a six inch. "Here's something to listen to out on the road" Jenny took it off her hands and examined it. She flipped it over and her heart nearly stopped. On the back she saw Johnny, Mike and Billie Joe on it. Plus a few songs that were written for her. He hadn't been lying about it going on the record.
"When did they change to Green Day?" Jenny kept staring at the pictures on it.
"Well. They toured before when Johnny was still in the band and-"
"Wait. What happened to Johnny. Did something happen?" Jenny cut her off and took another seat on the stool next to her.
"Oh no. He left to go to college. Now they have someone named Tre Cool as a drummer. Interesting character if you ask me" She smiled, and took a sip on her drink.
"Does Tre have a nipple ring that's ridiculously huge?" Jenny asked.
"Yes. D'you know them? Thought you've never heard of them" Adrienne said, as Jenny stood back up. She started to walk towards the door after she laid out some money for the bartender.
"I know more about them than I thought I did I suppose.. Catch ya later Adrienne"

Years after that, Billie Joe laid on his couch watching TV since they were on a small break from tour. The year was around 1995 and he rested in his Berkley home. Things at home hadn't been going the greatest for many different reasons. One reason was he was on tour for almost two years straight, missing out on his child, Joey's life which strained everyone. Secondly, he had a lot on his mind. Like mentioned before, Jenny was everywhere. It was almost scary. No matter what channel you turned on, there they were. And if it wasn't the whole band it was at least Jenny up there, just haunting him. As he heard Jakob crying in the background and Adrienne tending to him, he turned the channel to MTV. What a surprise to not see Spontaneous Combustion.
"Up next, we give you a tour of Lyza Ramone's home right after this" And he wanted to throw the remote at the TV. Or wait. Were was the remote? He stood up and looked for it unable to find it.
"ADIE! SOMEONE STOLE THE REMOTE" He hollered to his wife, simply just skinning the room.
"Of course someone broke in a took only the remote. Very likely" She said sarcastically. "Check under the couch cushions since you always seem to sit on it and cram it into the couch" Billie rolled his eyes and lifted up the couch cushions.
"YOU SURE SOMEONE DIDN"T STEAL IT?" He asked only to get no response. His eyes lit up when he found the remote. "NEVERMIND! Someone took it and hid it. What a sick bastard" He said, sitting back down. He went to change the channel only to find the remote decided not to work. "SOMEONE STOLE THE BATTERIES"
"BABE SHUT UP" Adrienne snipped. Billie let out a small laugh, feeling too lazy to get up and turn the channel manually. He had forgotten about the tour of Jenny's home too. To say he wasn't a fan of Spontaneous Combustion was an understatement, same for Jenny with Green Day. They both lived for fan sites. Billie probably knew everything there was to know about them from the creepy websites and same with Jenny. His breath caught in his throat when he saw Jenny appear on the screen with her fiancé who was a solo artist, not quite as famous as Jenny though.
"HEY! This our home come on inside" She said. Oh her voice. He watched carefully as the cameras entered her home. Two bulldogs came waddling over towards her. She bent down to their level to introduce them. "These are my two dogs, Rock and B.J. I love them very much" Billie's eyes widened at the mention of his old name, Rock. And B.J. He couldn't stop watching now. As the video tour continued he spotted something. A Riverdale's shirt being worn under her jacket. A shirt that had seen its better days. Damn he loved that shirt. He'd been wondering what happened to it for so long. And the jacket. He'd looked everywhere for it. Damn. Did she steal all his stuff or something? But why did she still have it? "So over here is some things that mean a lot to me like pictures" He saw one with him and Tre out of the corner of his eye from the night that she had taken Tre in. He couldn't believe his eyes.
He was still everywhere in her life.
And seeing her was getting him a bit aroused like the first time he had her over at his house so many years ago. He simply took a throw pillow and curled up, holding it close to him.
He turned to look at Adrienne who was walking into the room holding a magazine. She sat down across from the room and held the magazine up, exposing Jenny propped on the cover.
"Hey what's she doing on the cover of that magazine alone?" He said, referring to the Cosmopolitan she had.
"Oh!" Adrienne stopped and looked at the cover. ""Lyza Ramone talks about her ways of achieving better orgasms!" Wow. I actually met her a few years back too.. Wouldn't think she was such a whiz in bed but hey. It has me interested to read it"
Oh God Adrienne. If only you knew he thought to himself, thinking about the article she was probably going to read. That's not necessarily a good thing. He remembered Jenny's ways. Oh he remembered them just like yesterday. If she actually read that magazine and tried some of those things... some wrong names might be said if you know what that means. But wait. She said she met her.
"You met her? When?" He asked.
"Um.. It was right after you and I broke it off" She answered from behind the magazine, finding the eyes of Jenny staring at him in two places. One was in motion. One was in front of his wife.
"What did she say?"
"Well. She claimed she hadn't ever heard of Green Day but when I gave her a copy of 39 Smooth and looked at the back it was as if she'd seen a ghost or something" Billie studied her words.
"What else did she say?"
"Jesus Billie it was so long ago" She paused and put the magazine down, to see her husband of a little over a year staring at her with wondering eyes. "Fine.. She seemed a little depressed about something. She said she dumped her boyfriend for her band and to move or something. And that the band was in the same city they were in that day so she was trying to avoid him the best she could. So I told her about you and we just got to talking about the "men in our life." So I invited her to your show and I think she was going to go until she saw you're album. She seemed like an odd character but like I've seen her before"
"Well..." He muttered, not knowing what to say after that. They both turned towards the TV and Adrienne got an odd look on her face when she was showing a picture in the kitchen on the wall.
"Billie is that you and Tre in front of a refrigerator with her?" He looked at the picture that showed Billie licking the side of Tre's face that was covered in whipped cream while Jenny looked like she was dying of laughter.
"Aid- I've never met her in my entire life"
