Just leave me alone, chapter 1
Emily Marchant. Nothing much to talk about. Never has anything much to say. She just lives an average life in dreary old England. What's there to talk about? She gets beaten up pretty much every single day of her life. And you know why? Just because she's a quiet girl. Just because she wants to actually listen to the teacher and get an education. What's wrong with that? Everyone else thinks that's a problem but she just can't see what that is.
She doesn't look anything out of the ordinary. She's tall and thin with not many curves on her, and has dark brown hair which went a little past her shoulders. She has bright hazel eyes which sparkle like diamonds and which could melt your heart every time you look at them. Clothes are pretty basic as there was hardly any money to get any top brand names, so she settles with charity clothes. Mainly she chooses the black ones, as she thinks that she has an ugly body and can cover it up with that colour. She has a pretty face, angelic looking. One with which you could get away with anything!
But nobody ever noticed her, and it felt to her that nobody cared. Nobody talked to her or took any interest in her, so she just remained quiet dreaming of the day she can leave all this behind her and start a new life.
She lives in a small town called Colchester with her mother and her brother. Her father died when she was just a little girl. He died of cancer, the deadly killer; and it's sad because Emily can't remember anything of her father, all she had are just a few photographs. And the strangest thing is, she was angry with him. Why did he have to leave her and his family, and make everybody so unhappy? Especially her mother.
Emily's mother is a sweet young woman who cares a lot for her family. She would die to protect them and would do anything to help both son and daughter, but after Emily's father died, things started to go downhill. She used to drink a lot of alcohol and take a deal drugs for money. Money was tight back then, as Emily's dad used to do all the providing, and so when he died they all had to move out of their lovely house where they spent so much time and devotion on it and where all the children were born and raised, into a crummy shithole of a flat. In the roughest neighbourhood possible to enter this earth, both children were raised. Emily's brother, John, was older than her and was the closest thing she had to a father figure. She respected him, and looked up to him and he always used to help her when things got her down. He used to protect her from bullies at school as he was well respected as being "the tough guy". But things did not stay that way. He dropped out of school when he was only 16 to help his mother to provide for the home and family, but he made Emily swear that whatever happened, and whatever went wrong, she would go to school every single day and get her good grades and get the job she has always dreamed of.
So he enlisted into the army. There he trained and earned good money which was used to keep a roof over the Marchant's heads. Everybody got on with their lives. Her mother worked every waking hour down her local bar, her brother worked hard in the army, and Emily. Well Emily tried to get on with school best she could. Things were tough, but whatever happened and however many cuts and bruises she had to bring home, she got on with things as she knew that her mother and brother would be proud of her one day.
