Can You Stand the Rain?, chapter 5
***Still Rebecca's POV***
Mr. Bales annouced that he would be joining us in the bar, and that the driver would take Lana home. We all tensed up at the thought of a 50 something out drinking with a group of 20 and 30 somethings and partying like it was 1999. Tre eased the tension a lot when moved Lana's open mouth like a puppet. "Oh Michael dah-ling how are you?" he said, his voice similar to the annoying tone of Lana. She didn't move or stirr while we all laughed at Tre's parody. Except for Mike though. He looked a little unconfortable during the whole ride, but I wasnt sure why.
We all hopped out of the green limo, and breathed a sigh of relief when the limo rounded the corner and out of view, with a somnolent Lana in the backseat. Tre had helped me out of the car and squeezed my hand. "Can I get my kiss now?" He said, inching closer towards me.
I shook my head and giggled when he pretended to wipe a fake tear. "You're killing me Becky, you're killing me." I smiled at him, which made him blush a little. We all got into the bar and found tables. Mike and Billie shared one table, Mike still looking sulky. The Jasons found their own table, both of them still sporting a kiss on their cheeks. Mr. Bales trudged over to the bar and immediately started talking to some chick. And me, being the lucky one, got a seat right on Tre's lap.
He wrapped both of his arms around my waist and looked up at me longinly until the waitress came over to take our orders. " Hi how can I help you?" I thought for a second. "Uh, I'll take and Appletini please." I said to her. "Yeah I have a beer, thanks." She wrote down our orders and walked away over to the bar, where I spotted my boss making a move on another waitress. I giggled silently, making a mental note to tell Peaches about that later.
"Can I get my kiss now? Im dying here!" he said, giving me the puppy dog pout. He smiled, which made my stomach do backflips. "When I get my drink, we will trade." I said, very willing for compromise. He shook his head."Hmmm," he said sounding like Sherlock Holmes. "Sounds good to me, but right after okay?" I nodded, waiting desperatly for the waitress to come back. As hypocritical as I might sound, I was dying inside too.
Finally, she came back over and handed me my drink. I took a quick sip and put it on the table. " Okay, now you can get your kiss." He smiled micheviously as we both leaned in slightly. Tre's lips lightly touched mine, and he deepend the kissed after a couple of seconds. Our lust that had been stored up since we first met was passionately released, in a five minute kiss.
"Mmmm." he moaned lightly when we pulled away, both of us gasping for breath. "Wow, um that was great." I said wiping the lipstick from his lips. "Who are you telling? I didnt think it was going to be this good, no offense." I shook my head. " None taken. I thought the same thing. But I did enjoy it."
He smiled naughtily. "Well that was the master plan baby."
***Mike's POV***
We finally made it to the bar after what felt like forever. My dad said he was going to join us, which kinda ruined my fun. I knew he was out to embarass me, especially since Rebecca was here.
Tre and Rebecca were flirting like no ones fucking business and it seemed that it was only bothering me. I thought she was into me though, but she looked like she was enjoying the time that she spent with Tre. Isn't it messed up, how I was just dying to be him? (a/n: lol Kari! At the Disco)
After saying good bye to the Grim Reaper, I mean, Lana, we all went into the bar and were seated. Billie and I had decieded to share a table, because we both knew that the Jasons would sit together (I dont know why, I guess its cause they have the same name or something, but I wouldn't enjoy socializing with anyone who was named Mike).
My dad ventured over to the bar, where he started to fraternize with a waitress. I shuddered at the thought of my dad getting laid, or at least getting the girl's number. You couldn't blame the old man though. His girl of choice was very good looking, but more my dad's type, you know, mind less, only in it for the money type girl.
The waitress came over with a smile on her face. " Hi what can I get for you two?" she asked, her voice going up slightly at the end. "We'll have beers." Billie Joe said, looking at me for a response. I nodded."Yeah two beers, please. Thanks." I said. She wrote down the order and gaily walked away, nearly coliding with another waitress on her way back to the bar. I guess she's a fan, I thought, a very obessesive compulsive type of fan.
I watched sullenly as Rebecca sat down in Tre's lap at their table that was three tables away from ours. I didn't notice when the waitress came back with our beers. I quickly took a long sip, pratically downing the whole thing. Billie Joe noticed, and he looked at me quizically. I mentally prepared myself for 21 questions, but knowing Billie Joe for as long as I have, it would probably be 42 questions instead.
"Dude, what's up, you haven't been saying anything since we left the concert. What the hell is up?" he asked. I shook my head."Its nothing."I said, still looking at the two of them, who had just gotten their drinks and were now making out, sort of. "Nothing my ass." Billie snapped. His eyes followed mines, until he too was alos staring at Rebecca and Tre.
"I knew it was nothing. You're a tad bit jealous Mikey, and don't try to hide it." I took a swig of beer and set it down on the table. " Billie man, its not fair." I whined, holding my head in my hands. Billie almost choked on his beer from laughter. " Of course not. It could be a phase you know. I mean, Adie had a boyfriend when I met her, and now look where we are, we've been married for so long and we have two beautiful kids. Give her time Mikey, give her time." he took another sip of his beer and set it down on the table slowly.
I looked at him and then looked back at Tre and Rebecca, who where staring longingly at each other. " I hope so man, I hope so."
***Tre's POV***
After Becky's first drink, she pretty much got hammered(not on my part thank you very much, I wasn't feeling "pervish" today, and I wouldn't do that to her anyway, she was too special) so I offered to take her home and let her crash at my place. What's funny is actually when she was drunk she wasnt like all crazy or anything, all it did was slurr her words and make her sleepy, which was kinda cute.
Around about 12.30 I called a cab and White helped me carry her in, but since she was light, I really didn't need his help at all( I think it was because he was sloshed too, and he wanted to get a tad bit closer to Becky when she was vulnerable. But honestly, who would do that? *wink wink*).
We got back to my place not to long after I called the cab and I woke her up. She was a little disoriented (hey, I used a big word. Kick ASS!!) , but she smiled when she saw my face." Thanks Tre." she said. I helped her climb out of the cab, I paid the driver, and we both limped up my driveway and into my house.
Claudia and Frankito had gone to her mother's for the weekend, so we had the place to ourselves. " Um take off your shoes and coat and you can lay them there." She nodded sleepily and slowly took off her shoes and coat, laying them on a chair that was in the hallway. " Tre," She said, walking towards me." Thank you so much for letting me stay here. Any chance you may have any coffee? Coffee would be so good right now." I nodded."Yeah, here, come and sit down." I grabbed her gently by both arms and leaded her into my living room, where she plopped on the couch. " I'll be right back. Uh you can watch T.V. , just make your self comfy." I said, walking into the kitchen.
Claudia was the one who was the kitchen genius, I just ate the food. I had no idea how to work the coffee machine, so I decieded to wing it. The dammed thing made a whole hell of a lot of noises, practically burned my hand and started to bubble until it made something resembling coffee. I took the first sip and then spat it out into the sink. "That tasted like shit. Yuck." I said, scraping my tongue. As long as I lived I promised myself to never make coffee again, unless it was for Mike, then it would be okay.
I tossed the rest of the pot and settled on making hot chocolate. When that was finished, (thank God for microwaves) I broght it out to her with some asprin sitting in my pocket. She was still in the same place that she was before, only now she was watching this show about these stupid rich kids on MTV.Like omigod Kirsten, one of them said. Stephen is so flirting with that bitch. I think I walked in at the right time, those show really do brain wash people, especially when their slightly drunk.
" Here we go. Sorry, I can't make coffee all too well, the last batch tasted like shit, so I made hot chocolate. Is that okay?" She nodded. "Every thing is okay when Tre Cool makes it." Rebecca giggled, which was a sign that I had probably turned red again. I sat down next to her on the couch and we both reached for our mugs.
"Cheers." I said raising my glass. I took a sip, enjoying the hot liquid go down my throat. I reached in my pocket for the asprin. Rebecca sighed in relief when she saw the little bottle." Thank you so much, my head is pounding right now."
After she took both of the pills, she started to look a little drowsy again, and she kept nodding off, until she finally fell asleep. My stomach fluttered as I watched her lay there, snoring in a womanly way. I picked her up in my arms and carried her upstairs into my room. I layed her down slowly and covered her with the duvet. Carefully, I climbed over her and onto my side of the bed, making sure I didn't fall on top of her.
I covered myself with the duvet too, and turned on the t.v. I watched some sort of show on the game show network until I fell drowsy too. Shutting off the t.v., I pulled the duvet up to my neck and got confortable, until I was at Becky's level. I smiled when I recapped the nights events as I fell asleep. I had met a girl, played a kick ass concert, kissed that girl, brought that girl home, and now had her in my bed.
I could already tell that things were going to get better and better.
