Black Shadows Of Romance...., chapter 1
"Billie willy!"
Bilie Joe looked up as he heard his best friends voice waft down the street. He looked up and a huge smile formed on his face.
"Melly smelly!" He called back and took in his best friends appearance for that day.
Melanie Mc Cann walked up the street towards Billie Joe with pure confidence. Billie always said that Melanie was the most confident person
he ever knew. Today Melanie was wearing a black T-shirt-shirt that said Loser! in green writing and it showed of her stomach. Her jeans rested perfectly on her hips and the few studded belts made it look even better. Billie Joe could see her green high tops sticking out from under the jeans.
Her hair was black with bits of green and it was all spiked out. On her arms she had many black and green jelly bracelets.
She took the cigarette from her mouth and threw it on the floor before bending down and giving Billie a hand up from where he was sitting on the pavement.
He hugged her and then kissed the top of her head before they started walking down the street together.
Everyone always thought that they were a couple but they never were. Billie and Melanie had been best friends since they were ten. You see, Billie's father and Melanie's mother were both diagnosed with cancer that year and their parents met at the hospital.
Billie's father and Melanie's mother had become great friends after that and the both of their families would have dinner out or just a social get together.
It was tragic though when Billie's father died four months later. But Melanie was there for him, And he was there for her when her mother died six months after that. They had become inseparable after that. They drank their first alcohol drink together. They smoked their first joint together.
They found punk together.
And believe me, punk was a big part in both of their lives. Billie Joe started to learn the guitar when he had just turned eleven and then he taught Melanie how to play. And the two of them together were brilliant. They both had great voices and a lot of talent.
It was then that the two met Mike in the cafe of their school. Mike was a nice, funny guy who played the bass, Which went down well with Billie and Melanie.
The three of them became best friends and spent every minute of the day together much to Melanie's stepmothers objections.
She didn't want Melanie hanging around with two boys all the time but Melanie would not stay away from Billie Joe and Mike. Their all seventeen now and still inseparable.
"So what are we going doing at Gilman?" Billie Joe asked as he put his arm around Melanie's shoulder and held her close. He loved her so much.
If anything ever happened to her he wouldn't know what to do.
"Cause we are. Were going there tonight right?" She asked and Billie Joe nodded. "Well Scotts band are playing and everyone is going down there now to watch them rehearse" Just fucking great..Billie Joe thought. Scott Neven was Melanies boyfriend and Billie Joe hated him.
Not because he was jealous or anything but because Scott was a complete asshole. Billie Joe had tryed to tell Melanie about Scott before but he just couldn't do it. "Alright.." He answered and they kept walking down the road in silence.
Melanie took out two joints out of her pocket and handed one to Billie Joe. "Here ya go babe. I know your short" She said to him before lighting her own before lighting his. "Thanks...I haven't had a good one in a while." Billie Joe replied.
When they arrived at Gilman they noticed a few people. Mike for one was standing with his girlfriend Kayleigh, Melanies friend Bobby was standing over by the stage with some guy and she noticed Scott up on the stage setting up his guitar. He winked at her and she turned to Billie Joe.
"I'm just going to go talk to Scott for a minute.." She said before kissing him on the cheek and bounding off towards the stage.
Billie Joe laughed before heading over to where Mike was standing with Kayleigh. "Whats up dude?" He asked and Mike turned around and smiled at him. They continued talking for a few minutes before Billie Joe heard a familiar scream and he spun around.
