Black Shadows Of Romance...., chapter 2

Billie Joe had heard that scream one too many times and he hated it more and more each time.
Billie Joe spun around just in time to see Scott push Melanie. She stumbled back and tripped over, While landing on her back with a thud.
"Mel!" Someone screamed and everyone started rushing towards the stage but Billie Joe was there first. He pounced on Scott and knocked him to the ground in one swift movement. He hit him in the nose before pounding his head off the wooden stage.
"You asshole!" Billie Joe screeched as he hit Scott again, This time busting his lip.

Billie Joe kept hitting him until someone pulled him off. "Billie man calm down" It was Mike. He pulled Billie over as their friend Mark grabbed Scott and pulled him off the ground. "She deserved it that bitch!" Scott screamed and Billie Joe went to pounce on him again but Mike held him back.
"Dude, I think you better get you're warped, sick ass out of here before I beat you myself" Mark yelled at Scott as he pushed him towards the exit.
Everyone was silent as Scott limped out the door, Slamming it behind him.

"Billie... " Melanie whimpered and he rushed over to her side. He pulled her in close to him and everyone knew that she was ok with Billie Joe.
They all started to move away and left Billie holding Melanie on the stage.
"He lied to me." She said after a minutes silence. "He lied about everything... I knew it but then when that guy called him Alan I knew it was true... I can't believe it Bill."
She started to cry again and Billie Joe held her closer. He gently rocked her back and forth as she cried onto his T-shirt.

"So he lied about absolutely everything?" Billie asked as he and Melanie walked home from Gilman that afternoon. They had talked for a bit before heading home to get a rest before they went out that night.
"Yeah... His name was Alan something, Not Scott. He was a drug dealer and he abused his last four girlfriends as well as his sister and his mom!" Melanie explained as she kicked a stray can that was lying on the street.
"Oh my god... " Billie Joe whispered. He couldn't believe it. His best friend was with a guy like that?! "How did you find out?" He added and Melanie looked at him before watching two dogs play.
"Some people told me some of it and I found out the rest." She said and Billie Joe started to laugh.
"Ha ha... You actually did research and stuff, I didn't think you were smart enough!" He laughed but stopped when Melanie whacked him on the back of his head.
"Bitch." She muttered and he kept laughing.

"Mom?" Billie Joe called out as they both entered his house. No answer.
"Hmm... I wonder were she could be?" He said as Melanie shut the door behind her and followed him into the kitchen were he was now reading a note that he had found on the table.

"Gone out with a friend. Be back later. Love you loads. Hi Mel! Love Mom xx"
Billie read out loud and Melanie chuckled. "How did she know that I would be here?" She said taking two beers out of the fridge and handing one to Billie.
"Cause you're always here... You practically live here." He replied while taking a seat at the table and opening his beer. "Yeah but that's because of that bitch back at my house. I hate her Billie... I really fucking do and she treats me like shit and that makes my dad do too." Melanie said while cradling her head in her hands.

"Babe don't worry about it. I'm gonna get you out of there." Billie Joe said as he stood up and pulled Melanie up by the waist. She smiled and leaned on him as he walked out the door of the kitchen and headed for the stairs. She had suddenly become really tired. She let out a huge yawn and Billie Joe turned around and picked her up and slung her over his shoulder. She laughed and started to play with the hair on the back of his neck.
"C'mon lets get some sleep... Its going to be late night tonight."
