Hold On, chapter 6
"I guess a lot people had the same idea as us," I said to Billie as we walked down the sidewalk. There were a lot of people out all carrying sacks with stuff they bought and everything. "Yeah, well, it just seemed like the perfect day," said Billie.
While we were walking an IMAX theater caught my eye. I looked at the shows they were playing and say GREEN DAY: BULLET IN A BIBLE. "That sounds like a great movie," I said pointing to it. Billie smirked. "Would you like to see it?" he asked. "I would love to," I said.
We walked in and walked up to the lady that was selling tickets. "Two for Bullet in a Bible please," said Billie. "That would be $12 and 62 cents sir," said the lady. "And uh...I was wondering if I could have an autograph." Billie smiled. "And my true identity has been discovered." She handed Billie a pen and a Dookie CD. "I'm a huge fan; I have every CD," she beamed. "That's great to hear," said Billie smiling. He shook her hand," It was a pleasure to meet you," he said. "Ah, he pleasure was mine," said the lady smiling.
We walked into a full house. Practicailly every seat was taken. Billie found two empty seats towards the middle.
"I'm glad it's dark in here," whispered Billie. "Yeah, I bet," I said.
The movie started about two minutes later. The movie was SPECTACULAR. Green Day truly was the best and inspirational band alive. You could tell just by watching them on screen that they have so much passion for what they do. I smiled every time Billie interacted with the audience and was talking on screen. Mike and Tre are great too.
That got me wondering....where exactly are Tre and Mike?
The movie ended and the lights came on. I was getting ready to stand up when Billie pulled me down. "How about we sit here until mostly everybody is gone?" he said. "Yeah, that might be a good idea." Billie pulled his had a little down further in front of his face.
After everyone was gone we stood up and left the theater. "So what did you think of the movie?" he questioned. "It was amazing. I loved it." "That's good," said Billie. "So where are Tre and Mike?" I asked as we walked further into town.
"Uh...their spending time with their families." "Oh." I didn't push the subject any further. I still knew that Billie was heartbroken about what had happened with his wife.
"Are you hungry?" he asked. "Definetely," I said. "What would you like to eat?" "Um....a burger sounds great." "A burger it is then," Billie said smiling.
