Food Service and Green Day, chapter 1
"What's uppppppp, Blondie!" A voice echoed into Cassandra's ear through the cheap plastic headphone.
"Are you going to order your effing food or not?" Cassandra yelled in response. The voice just laughed, and she could hear the car speed off in the background.
Cassandra sighed and tried not to glance at her manager, who was probably glancing sympathetically at her and shaking his head right now. She hated fast food, let alone the fact that she got payed minimum wage for taking orders from dumbasses..
She sighed. Someone was at the drive through again.
"Whaddaya want?"
"Uh, Three cheeseburgers-" the voice on the other side started.
"Remember, I want a root beer.." another male voice stated.
"Yes sir.. But I thought you were a vegetarian, and Micheal as well?" The first voice said.
"I'm not a vegetarian!" a rather annoying voice said from the background." Mikey and Billie-"Cassandra tapped her fingers impatiently on the counter-"Are though!"
"Don't call me Micheal.." another voice added." And don't call me Mikey, either, Frankie."
"Hey, don't call me that!" Frankie (the annoying voice) yelled.
"Break it up," The first male voice stated." Three cheeseburgers, one rootbeer, one iced coffee, and one.. Er, something with lots of sugar in it. And no, I'm not eating the patty on my burger, I'm peeling it off.. And I suppose Mike will too."
"That's a waste of money, if you ask me." Cassandra said.
"That's what I said!" Frankie said indignantly.
"Look, can we just move up?" Mike said.
"Yeah, fine, 8. 95.." Cassandra said.
As she looked out the window, a large black limo came snaking towards it. If that wasn't enough to make Cassandra's jaw drop, it was the three that poked their heads out of the limo window who made it.
She was facing Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool, and Mike Dirnt.
"HOLY SHIT!" Cassandra exclaimed, her chair tipping backwards and sending her, with an almighty crash, onto the floor.
When Cassandra had managed to get back up, breathing heavily, she looked utmostly shocked. Her blonde hair was falling out of its ponytail, her black rimmed glasses were knocked askew, and her headset seemt to magically dissappear.
"You.." She started. But she seemt lost for words, and just ducked down to retrieve her headset and slapped it down on the counter." I'll.. Food.. I'll get your.. Food?"
She turned and stuffed three premade burgers in a bag and held it out of the window, her hand shaking.
The bag slipped out of her hand and fell on the ground before they could grab it and narrowly missed Billie's outstretched hand.
"Oh, god, I'm so sorry, Mr. Armstrong.. Mr. Dirnt.. Mr. Cool..." Cassandra muttered, trying to not make eye contact.
"It's fine.. Here, keep the money.. We need to get rid of our American currency anyways.. We're playing a show in Japan on Saturday..." He stuffed 9 dollar bills into her hand, nodded a good bye, and motioned for the driver to pull out of the driveway.
Little did Cassandra know, there was much more among those bills than money.
