Food Service and Green Day, chapter 4
-Approximately 36 hours later-
"Wake up!"
"Wake up, dammit!"
Cassandra irritably shook Tre's head from side to side." Wake up! Your bandmates ditched you!"
"Huh?" Tre said drowsily.
"Do I have to fucking spell it out? They ditched you! We're the only two left on the plane!" Cassandra yelled angrily.
"Shit!" Tre said, jumping out of his seat and heading toward the door but stopped." Fuck.. It's locked shut." He jiggled the handle.
"Fuck, look what you got me into now! My luggage is all the way in Japan and we're going to be in California!" Cassandra yelled, kicking the door.
"Hell, I have it worse! 2/3ds of Green Day is in Japan and I'm stuck in this fucking airplane!" Tre retorted, collapsing back in his seat.
"Oh, nice. Stuck in an airplane for God knows how long and having to live off airline food and pre-packaged peanuts.." Cassandra said sarcastically, in turn sitting back in her seat." I'm just living in the lap of luxury."
"Well," Tre started." This is going to suck major old lady ass.."
Many hours later, Cassandra was nervously snacking on peanuts and Tre was boredly laying down on his seat.
"Are we there yet?" Tre moaned." I want to get back to my fucking house.."
"I don't want to get back to California. And besides, at least now I can zone out and listen to music without that stewardess bitching on about not cussing and not singing.." Cassandra said." You hungry?" she added, tossing Tre a package of peanuts.
"No." Tre said, tossing the package back.
Cassandra shrugged and tossed the package back into her carry-on bag.
---
Things were not going smoothly for Mike, Billie, Jason, and Rob back in Japan either. The group was waiting outside the airport for transportation.
"Where the fuck is Tre? That girl said he'd come to eventually.." Billie said bitterly.
"Maybe he and that girl are here, but they're just getting their luggage." Jason suggested.
"No.. Billie and I already searched there.. His luggage was still there." Mike said.
"I guess we should check in to our hotel.. Tre'll probably come around in awhile." Rob said.
---
"I'm calling them." Tre said, as he took out his cellphone and began dialing.
Cassandra just nodded blindly; she was listening to her walkman and couldn't hear a thing.
"Pick up.. Pick up... Damn, it's not them.. Only some chinese guy gabbering on.." Tre said irritably.
Cassandra yawned and took off her headphones." I think you mean Japanese."
"Oh, whatever.." Tre responded.
---
It was growing nearer and nearer to 1:00. Tre had passed out thanks to the wonders of airline booze, which he had discovered while roaming the airplane.
Cassandra was sitting, half asleep, in her seat. Without Tre to argue with or talk to and with her walkman recently broken the flight was dull.
Tre was muttering something incoherent that seemed to alert her. Cassandra slowly adjusted her position and tapped Tre lightly on the shoulder.
"Whazzamatter?" Tre replied groggily.
"Stop muttering in your dreams. I can't sleep." Cassandra said.
"Fine.." He said, and drifted back to sleep.
Cassandra lay back on the airplane seat. It was uncomfortable.. But it would have to do for the night. Even though there was the fact that she was missing a Green Day concert, she was one of the most happiest people it the world.. Because even though she missed the concert, she got the next best thing.. A member of the band.
