Worlds Apart, chapter 1
"God she's such a bitch. I mean how can you support that asshole excuse of a president?" Billie Joe fumed. Adrienne tried to calm him down.
"Everyone's entitled to their own opinion Bill." She said. They both looked at the T. V as Roxanne Ramen as she told everyone (Billie Joe Armstrong specifically) to fuck off and give George Bush a break. Billie Joe watched in frustration.
"I mean c'mon, the state of the world is probably in the worst state it's ever been. I'd like to see Billie Joe Armstrong and Green Day try to deal with it." She said.
"So you think that Billie Joe Armstrong is being unfair." The interviewer asked.
"I think he's being fucking stupid. At least Bush is trying. Sure he's made some fucking bad decisions but he's made some good ones too. And at the moment life isn't that bad, so c'mon. He's fucking trying." She said.
"So does it upset you that certain people-'' Roxanne interrupted "Billie Joe." - "Yeah" the interviewer continued. "Does it bother you that Billie Joe is being so harsh and bashing Bush so hard?" Roxanne smiled, she knew how much she was getting under Billie's skin right now.
"Yeah, it does. Until Billie Joe has a plan to fucking fix America then I think he should just shut the hell up." She said.
"Ok, well when we come back we'll talk about the recent release of Organic Hate's new album Insane Asylum and Roxanne's growth as a drummer." The interview concluded as they went to a commercial break. Roxanne took a sip of her bottled water, Roxanne was a drummer for the band Organic Hate. Organic hit it huge in 2001 and had been America's favorite little jackasses for four years now. America had been slightly more fascinated, with her, the tabloids just wouldn't stop. All the girls wanted to be her, she was the girl amongst all guys. And all the guys wanted to have her. She was pretty she guessed, she had long brown hair with black and blonde streaks and big blue eyes. Always covered with tons of eyeliner. She had a nice body, and had a beauty mark on her cheek that most guys apparently thought was the sexiest thing ever. She had a little secret though. One, with the way she acted towards certain people, no-one would have ever guessed.
"Were back with Roxanne Ramen of Organic Hate. Say Roxanne where are all the guys." The Interviewer asked.
"Well as you know their all brothers and about a week ago their Grandma died. So their in Oakland dealing with that. Very sad." She said sympathetically.
"Oh well make sure and give them our sympathies." The interviewer said. Roxanne nodded. "So this is your fourth album, but only the second one that is released in stores?" The interviewer, Jimmy asked.
"Yeah, we did a couple EP's, just some stuff to sell to our friends while we were trying to make a real record that would be sold in stores." She said.
"And you made these demos with Lookout! Records?" Jimmy asked. "Yeah, we did the first EP in my garage. But the second one which was a lot better we made with Lawrence Livermore at Lookout!." She said.
"And that was in...?" Jimmy asked.
"The second one was done in 1989." She said.
"So you've been playing with Organic Hate for a long time then?" Jimmy asked. "Yeah, but we've been friends for longer so that's why its always worked out really good." She said.
"So straying away from the record a little, are you dating anyone?" He asked. She smiled, she new this was coming.
"Uh, I think we should probably just stick to the record." She said still smiling. She finished up the interview and said her goodbyes and went to catch her flight out of New York to Oakland to be with the guys. She always got nervous when she went to Oakland, he was there.
She had dated Billie Joe from the time they were still Sweet Children, she was his next door neighbor and he was her first love. But she moved to Atlanta and they had a huge fight, a couple months after she had moved she flew back to see Tre and Mike and hopefully patch things up with Billie. She never ended up getting to their house, she met Jack, Mikey and Jason Troth. She ended up moving out to Oakland to be with her band, and her new friends.
Billie started seeing her around town and unfortunately he still hated her for breaking his heart and moving. That's when their rivalry started, sometimes Roxanne wondered if she was just supporting Bush to piss off Billie. Bush really was an ass-hole. She sighed as her plane finally leveled after take-off. Then her thoughts drifted off to him, Tre. They had always had a secret attraction, one that neither of them would admit. Well at least they wouldn't admit until a couple months ago, when he stopped by her house because "he needed to see her".
He ended up staying over and she realized how much she had missed him. She actually liked this Tre more than the old Tre, he had grown up. Barely. She knew that she shouldn't be seeing him, her and Billie, who was Tre's best friend, were like declared enemies. They just couldn't do it, attraction to each other be damned, after all they were worlds apart.
