*A few hours later*
We dropped the guys off and went back to Billie's house.
"Daddy!" Joey and Jakob shouted as we walked through the door.
"Hi Vicki, hi Hannah." Jakob said shyly.
"Hey!" I answered back.
"Hi sweetie." Adrienne greeted Billie and kissed him. "Breakfast?"
"Oh yes please!" Billie replied, licking his lips. We went upstairs and put our stuff in our room, then came back down for breakfast.
"Daddy, daddy! I'm in our school Christmas pageant! I'm a star!" Jakob said while tugging at Billie's shirt.
"Are you? Wow! When is it Adie?" Billie asked.
"Erm, 23rd," she replied.
"Great! We'll go and see it. What are you Joey?" Billie questioned.
"Erm... I don't really know, some dead guy that lived ages ago. The 5th graders have to sing! I'm glad I'm not in 5th grade!" he said smiling.
"Nah but you will be soon." Billie said matter-of-factly.
"Shit, I forgot that!" he cursed.
"Joey! Language, Jakob's in the room!" Adrienne told Joey.
"Sorry mum." He smirked at Billie, Billie smirked back.
We finished, Billie and Joey washed up. Then Joey went to help Adie and Billie and Jakob went outside to play catch with the baseball. Billie looked knackered but he hadn't seen his kids in four days, plus he probably doesn't get to see them very often when he's on tour anyway.
Hannah went outside to play too, they were playing piggy in the middle, Billie was in the middle. I walked into the kitchen where Adrienne and Joey were making something.
"Hi Vicki, we were just talking about what we want for Christmas, you know, off 'Santa.'" She said giving me a 'play along' look.
"Oh, I would like whatever he brings me as long as it ain't pink, girlie or skirts. I don't like make-up either much except black eye liner or black nail varnish." I smiled.
"Come off it mum, I know Santa ain't real, I saw dad put the presents in my room!" Joey said. I smirked.
"No, Santa's real. Isn't he Vicki?" Adrienne said.
"Yeah of course he is." I said quickly. "You must've seen Santa last time." I said trying to convince him.
"But Santa's supposed to be fat and dad well, isn't." Joey said, I let out a small laugh.
"Fine okay, he isn't really real but your brother still thinks he is, so you'll have to play along until he gets old enough to understand." Adrienne warned her son.
"Uh, okay." He replied. "But do I have to?"
"Yes, you do." She replied. "Now go and play in the back yard with your father. Little scamp." She said as I followed Joey out to the backyard.
*12pm*
We were all still playing outside, Mike had come around.
"I got an idea!" Billie said. "Hannah, come here." He picked her up and put her on his shoulders.
"Right now Mike put Vicki on yours." He said.
"No, I'm really heavy." I said.
"Betchya I can hold it." Mike smiled lovingly. "Jump up then." I got onto his back then his shoulders.
"You're not that heavy." Mike said.
"Right now first person to knock the other two in the pool wins $100 to share, boys you referee. 3, 2, 1 go!" Billie shouted. Mike and Billie ran towards each other, me and Hannah pushing each other. I pushed Billie with my foot, he lost his balance and Hannah grabbed me, so we all fell in. We all surfaced.
"We won!" I shouted. "$100 for me and Mike!"
"I'll give it you later." Billie said.
"INCOMING!" Joey shouted and came running towards us and bombed into the pool. Jakob followed his brother's example and did the same, making a much smaller splash.
We were shouting and laughing and just having plain fun. Adrienne emerged at the door.
"What's with all the shouting?" she said. Billie looked at her with an evil grin on his face. He got out of the pool and ran up to her, his clothes were wet, he grabbed her and pulled her in for a kiss. Then he picked her up and ran towards the pool.
"No, Billie! No!" she screamed, shouted, kicked and hit Billie but he wouldn't let her go. He still had the evil grin on his face as he jumped in. They both surfaced.
"You bastard!" she shouted as she dunked him, he surfaced and splashed her.
"Hey Billie! I shouted, he shot around to face me.
"What?" he queered. I splashed him.
"You little... " he launched at me, I screamed, he dunked me. When I surfaced I gave him evils and said,
"Watch your back Billie, I'll get you."
"Ooh I'm scared!" he said.
"You better be."
Everyone laughed.
*Around 6pm*
"Right everyone out now." Adrienne said coming out of the house with towels (she got out around an hour ago, so she could start dinner). We all got out and wrapped our towels around us. I was walking on the edge of the pool, stupid me, and I slipped and fell in the pool, towel and all! I whacked my head as I fell on the side of the pool and I surfaced.
"Shit Vic, you're bleeding!" Hannah said. I rubbed my head and looked at my hand, there was blood on it, blood was running down my head.
"Ah, that could be a problem." I said as I got out. Billie wrapped his towel around me. We went to the kitchen and everyone sat at the table.
"Honestly, I don't think its that bad." I said in reply to the fact that everyone was sat staring at me as if I was gonna die.
"Nah its not, its only small. A few sterilizing strips on it and it will be fine." Adrienne said applying the strips.
"Try not to touch it now." She said.
We made our way up the stairs to get dressed.
"You know, Billie's been away from Adrienne for a few days and they probably don't get much time alone, so why don't we offer to baby-sit Jakob and Joey and let them go out for a meal or to the cinema or something?" I suggest to Hannah.
"Yeah, that'd be great." Se replied.
We went back down to have dinner, Mike had gone home.
"Here." Billie said as we entered the room, he handed me a $50.
"Thanks, but I was only playing around though." I said as I tried to give it him back, he forced it back into my hand.
"Here Hannah." Billie said as he handed her a $50 too. "Mike said for me to give it you, he said he's got enough money and don't need anymore." He smiled.
"Thanks." Hannah said, pocketing the $50.
Billie served dinner, after me Hannah and Billie did the clearing up while Adrienne was upstairs with the boys.
"You enjoying yourselves guys?" Billie asked breaking the silence.
"Yeah I'm having loads of fun." I replied. "To be truthful, I don't want it to end." I forced a smile.
"Well, you have to go sometime, it's not like you two can live with us forever now can you!" he laughed.
Suppose not, unfortunately. It's a good thing you cant see inside my head Billie.
"So Billie what we doing tomorrow?" Hannah asked.
"Naff all!" he said.
"Well, you know if you... Er... Want to take Adrienne out somewhere, tomorrow or something, we'll look after Jakob and Joey if you want." I offered.
"Oh, thanks guys, that'll be great!" he said beaming a smile at us.
We sat and watched TV for a bit until I went to bed.
