Two Twins, Their Idol, And A Green Day Competition, chapter 15
I woke up with revenge in my mind, to get Billie back for dunking me. I walked into the bathroom, got a glass and filled it with water. I walked out onto the landing where Adrienne was stood folding clothes.
"Where's Billie Joe?" I asked.
"He's still sleeping, why?" she asked.
"Oh nothing, I'm just gonna get him back for dunking me yesterday." I said showing her the glass of water. She smiled then said,
"Knock yourself out!" I smiled and walked over to his room. Hannah, Adrienne and the boys all congregated in the hallway.
I walked into the room, he was peacefully sleeping, unaware that his peace would be broken by freezing water. I smiled to myself as I closed in on him. I tipped the glass.
"FUCKING HELL!" Billie shouted, this was my cue to run. I dropped the glass and ran, I ran into a room, I was trapped! I could hear the laughs of the others and footsteps of Billie. He came into the room.
"What was that for?!" he asked.
"For you dunking me yesterday, now we're even." I replied matter-of-factly.
"Oh fine!" He sighed in a childish way. "I'm taking a shower. Stop laughing!" he said as he walked towards the door. He turned back around to face me. He walked towards me with that evil grin on his face. He outstretched his arms and started to tickle me.
"No, Billie. Stop! No!" I screamed really loud and really high pitched. He let go and covered his ears. I stopped,
"In future don't tickle me again. Ok?" I laughed.
"Note to self; don't tickle Vicki again." He said.
"Don't be so sarcastic!" I mocked. He smiled,
"Come on sweetie, we're going out." Billie said, taking Adrienne's hand.
"But what about the boys?" she asked.
"Oh, I've found babysitters for them." He said looking at me.
"Oh Billie, you haven't dumped the kids on Vicki and Hannah have you?" she asked sternly.
"No it's okay Adie, we offered. Give you an Billie Joe some time alone." I reassured her.
"Well ok, Joey's going over to his friend's to sleep over, he'll be going soon. So you'll only have to look after Jakob." She said.
"Well we'll find something to do, wont we?" I said to Hannah.
"Take as long as you want, we'll handle things." Hannah said to Adie and Billie. Billie mouthed 'Thank you' to me as I ushered them out of the room. They got dressed and went out.
"Lets take you to your friend's then Joey. Where does he live?" I asked him.
"Well actually it's a she and she lives across the street." He said smiling.
"Your girlfriend then?" Hannah queered.
"No!" he said very quickly. I though different.
"Ok then, I'll see him across the street." Hannah offered.
"Ok, come on Jakob, lets go and get dressed and have breakfast." I said.
"Pancakes?" he asked.
"Er. Well, I cant make them." I said.
"Oh." Jakob said sadly.
"I know we'll go to IHOP yeah?" I suggested. "Yay!" Jakob said running to his room to get changed. I took $30 out of my $70.
Soon we were ready.
"Do you know where IHOP is?" Hannah asked Jakob.
"Yeah, it's just down here." He replied pointing to his left.
*An hour later*
"That was great! Thanks guys." Jakob said.
"No problem. Do you want to go to the park? Maybe we can have a picnic lunch there." I suggested.
"Yeah, that'll be great!" Hannah replied.
"With peanut butter and jelly sandwiches?" Jakob asked.
"Of course." I replied.
We went back to the house and got the stuff and went to the park.
*Around 7pm*
We made our way back to the house.
"Can we have pizza for dinner?" Jakob asked.
"Are you always thinking about your stomach? You remind me of Tré!" I laughed and so did Hannah.
"Lets see if you have any in the freezer." I said as we approached the house.
"Now you go and play, while we make pizza." Hannah told Jakob.
*After dinner*
"Come on Jakob, lets give you a bath." I said as Hannah cleared up. We went upstairs and we had fun playing with his boats. I had to be a person drowning while he came and saved me.
I got him out and put him to bed. Hannah read him a story.
"I'm knackered. I'm going to bed too." She said.
"Night then." I replied as I went downstairs.
I turned the TV on and watched some random movie.
It must have been around 10pm when I heard crying. I looked around. Jakob was stood at the door.
"What's up?" I asked.
"I had a bad dream. Can I stay up until daddy gets back please?" he asked.
"Sure, come sit down." I replied.
He lay next to me and soon fell asleep. I smiled and drifted off myself.
"Vicki, wake up. Oi Vicki" I heard. I opened my eyes to find two green ones staring back at me.
"Oh hi. What time is it?" I asked.
"4am. What's Jakob doing down here?" he asked.
"Oh, he had a bad dream, he asked to wait up for you, but it looks like we fell asleep." I replied getting up. Billie picked up Jakob and walked upstairs and I followed.
"Thanks for that Vic." Billie said shutting Jakob's door. "Adrienne and I spent some well earned time together. Here, that's for food and pay. And don't try to give it back, you earned it." He handed me $50 and smiled.
"Thanks." I replied and smiled too. I love his smile, it's really you know, makes you feel warm inside. I walked towards my room.
"Vic, thanks again, oh and Adrienne is taking you and Hannah out Christmas shopping tomorrow, give me and the boys some father - sons time." He said.
"Great! What date is it tomorrow?" I asked.
"22nd, cya in the morning."
"Cya" I smiled and walked into my room. I put a $20 and a $5 on Hannah's bedside table and the rest of the $50 in my wallet. I got into bed and went tot sleep.
