Two Twins, Their Idol, And A Green Day Competition, chapter 7
*Around 6pm, that night, backstage*
"What time do you go on stage guys?" Hannah asked.
"8pm." Tré said.
"You two can come on stage with us if ya want, just sit on the front of the stage." Mike Said.
"Vicki?" Billie asked.
"Yeah?" I replied.
"Will ya go get my harmonica from the guy at the end of the stage when we play 'Minority' please?" He asked.
"Yeah if course I will. Why in other concerts you've had to walk to the end of the stage to get it?" I asked.
"Only because it will look unprofessional if we had some random backstage guy walk on to the stage and give me my harmonica, but it looks okay if a fan does it. All you gotta do is grab my harmonica off the backstage guy, he'll come and give it you while you're sat down on the stage and you gotta get up when it's time, which I'm sure you know when that is! Just put it near my mouth and I'll grab it okay?"
"Yeah, that'll be great!" I replied.
"Hannah you'll get a surprise too, so don't worry." Tré said, Hannah eyes lit up.
"Time for a little more practice and tuning I think." Mike said. "The place is filling up now."
We all did some random stuff for a bit, I was thinking how lucky we were, Tré and Hannah were having a thumb war and Billie and Mike were tuning their guitars and doing a little more practice.
Just then my mobile rang, I couldn't answer it here, it was too loud, I went out of the room, no one had noticed I'd gone, I took the nearest door, it was Billie Joe's dressing room.
"I don't think he'll mind." I said to myself as I opened the door. The room was pretty small with a bathroom next to it. There were guitars around the room along with black shirts, trousers and several colored ties. I was lost in his room; I noticed pictures of Adrienne, Joey, Jakob and a black and white photo of a lady and a man, on the dressing table. Then I realised my phone was still ringing, I answered it.
"Hi Vicki, I'm afraid I have some bad news." A voice said. I recognised it to be Ellen's. I sat down on the couch.
"Erm, Vicki there's no easy way to say this but it's your parents, they've been involved in a freak car accident. Vicki, they're dead." I froze. I looked at the vorgue that swallowed me. I swallowed hard. I mearly said 'Ok' then I put the phone down. I sat for a bit just staring. Thinking. Tears threatened to roll down my face, I couldn't hold them back much longer, I just let them fall. I cried for what seemed like hours, but in reality were only a few minutes. I sat there hugging my knees. I moved off the couch and sat on the floor in the corner of the room, I buried my head in my knees. Then someone opened the door. I looked up for a split second, but before I saw them, I lowered my head again, I cried silently.
