First Kiss, chapter 5
*Billie's POV*
Mandy was sitting smiling at us when she suddenly doubled over in pain. She lyed down and appeared to be having a fit, I was frozen to the spot while Mike and Tre ran to get a nurse. I heard a long droning beep from her machine. My heart skipped a beat, nurses, doctors came rushing in an started to try and resusitate her. Another nurse came and told me to wait outside I still couldn't move so the nurse gently pushed me outside and sat me on a seat next to Mike and Tre before running back to Mandys room. I sat still Mike tried to get me to speak but it was like everything had shut down.
*5 minutes later*
Nothing much had happened in the past 5 minutes we were still sitting in silence. Suddenly the doors flew open and Mandys was wheeled quickly out she was awake, the doctors stopped the bed near me so I could speak to her "I love you, everythings going to be Ok, I'll be right here." She just smiled weakly as she was to faint to speak. I had no idea what was going on but I guessed they were taking her into surgery. A doctor approached me and said "We have found an internal bleed which probably caused the pain she felt. She is being taken to surgery now, it will last around 1 hour." And with that he walked away. I sat down slightly shocked, Mike and Tre sat down next to me an we stayed in silence...
*Half an hour later*
We'd pretty much done nothing in the past half an hour. Me and Mike were still sitting down but Tre had gone somewhere in search of candy. I felt kind of sick and I was bored so I got up and started pacing the room just as Tre came back with his candy. He sat down noticed me and looked at Mike confused, Mike just shrugged and they went back to doing nothing. I carried on pacing for about ten minutes till my legs got tired and I sat back down. Mike and Tre had fell asleep, Tre had his head on Mike'ssholdour. I had to laugh at that. I must have laughed a little to loud because Mike woke up being the light sleeper he is. He saw Tre and pushed him off him "Tre!" He yelled, Tre woke up and jumped in shock and tripped and landed on me as I was now standng next to them, I skidded on a magazine and wacked me head on a table, then I must have blacked out.
*Tres Pov*
Me and Mike edged nervously to where Billie was lying. I saw blood on the floor Mike saw it to and we ran to him. We didn't move him but as he was lying on his side I saw a pretty big cut on the back of his head where the blood was coming from. Mike'seyes widened an he got up to go get help. Atleast this had happened in a hospital I thought. As Mike came back with a nurse Billie started to come round. He looked at me "What's going on" he mumbled. "Erm... Well Mike kind of scared me and I fell into you, then you skidded on a magazine and cut your head on the table". Billie didn't have time to reply as two nurses and a doctor came over to him and looked at the cut. Just at that moment Mandy was wheeled out still asleep because of the drugs she'd been given. Billie saw her and tried to get up despite the nurses holding him down. He them off and got up. There was blood trickling down is back and you could tell he was going to faint. I rushed to his side and sat him on a chair just as he was falling backwards. "No, Tre i've got to see her!" he said attempting to get off the chair again but I held him down. "I know, but your hurt to and you need stitches in your head" I replied. He put his hands to his head "I can't just leave her on her own" he said. I thought for what felt like an hour but was most probably just a minute. "Do you want me to go and stay with her?" I asked. He looked at the floor for a minute "Yeah please, if she wakes up just tell her what happened an that i'll e there as soon as these stitches have been put in". I nodded, Mike walked over "Okay, do you want Mike to stay with you or come with me." Billie looked at Mike "Can he say here I don't think i'm gonna lie having stitches put in my head an i'll need someone with me" he replied. I got up and nodded "Ok see you guys later" I said and went round the corner to Mandys room. Mike must have thought I had gone but I was still close enough to hear Mike say to Billie "You really think you can trust him?" I felt sad and angry, why did no one ever trust me? I then heard Billie say "Yeah, of coarse I do." That made me feel happy again, atleast someone trusted me. I walked into Mandys room. She was still asleep so I sat down on an chair and pulled a magazine from the drawer by her bed. I saw a picture of me, Mike and Billie on the cover so I opened the page on te story and started to read...
*Mandys POV*
I woke up to the sound of Tre shouting "Bullshit!" to what appeared to be a magazine. "You do know it can't hear you, don't you?" I said. He looked at me and blushed slightly "Oh... Your awake" he said. I felt weak but that was expected since I had just had surgery. I looked up to see Tre walking out the door "Where you going" I said panicking a bit. He stopped "don't worry I'm just going to get a doctor". I was confused. "Why?" I said. "Because I was asked to tell them when you wake up." I nodded "Ok". He left the room and I tried to sit up but the pain was to strong in my stomach so I stayed still. I was on my own and it was then I realised Billie Joe wasn't there. I waited a couple of minutes then Tre came back in. "They said they'll come in a minute." he said and sat back down. "Ok" I said "Tre? Where's Billie and Mike?". He looked at me "Ah.. Well while we were waiting for you to come out of surgery me and Mike fell asleep, and I fell asleep on his shouldor. And he woke up pushed me off him and I fell into Billie who skidded on a magazine and hit his head ona table. He's getting stitches now and Mike'swith him" he answered. I looked at him for a minute to see if he was joking, then even though I was worried about Billie I burst out laughing. Tre tried to keep himself from laughing but he soon started laughing to. She wasn't doing it on purpose but apart from Billie getting hurt it was kind of funny. When we'd finally stopped laughing I asked Tre if Billie was going to be Ok. "Yer he's gonna be fine. He lost quite a bit of blood though, he saw you being wheeled out and tried to get up but nearly fainted so I had to grab him." he said. I heard the door open and a youngish doctor came in. "How are you feeling" he asked. "My stomach hurts a bit but apart from that i'm Ok I guess." I answered. "Is the lad getting stitches with you?" he said to me, I nodded. "He keeps asking about you, and he giving the doctor whos doing the stitches shit because he's being to slow" he smiled "He's obvious concerned about you." I nodded and the doctor ran some tests then left. I liked that doctor most doctors would've just ignored the matter atleast he was nice enough to tell me about Billie. Me and Tre chatted for a while. "Tre why were you asleep on Mike'ssholdour anyway" I asked trying hard not to laugh as I remebered what Tre told me. "I don't now thats just how I fell asleep." he said slightly huffily. That done it and I couldn't keep my laughter in any longer. Again Tre started laughing to. We didn't notice that Mike and Billie had entered the room and were watching us. "What are you two laughing about?" Mike said causing us both to shut up and me to jump then double over in pain. Billie ran over to me "Are you Ok?" he asked. I smiled at him "Yeah i'm fine". He got up to get a chair to sit down on, as he turned around I saw his head and bloodstained shirt. "Oh my god Billie!" I said slightly shocked, i'd never expected it to be that bad. He turned back to face me looking confused. "Oh my head." I nodded "Yeah that looks bad, and your shirt is drenched in blood". He grabbed a chair and sat down followed by Mike. "I know I didn't have a change so I had to keep this one on." he replied. Then some one said "Aww poor baby." but it wasn't me, it was Tre. We all looked at him then I started laughing closely followed by Mike then Billie and Tre. When we stopped Mike told me he'd phoned my parents and told them what happend an they were on their way. I nodded, I was nervous about seeing them. The last time i'd seen them was before I had been hit by the car. They'd been to visit me though, the last time was this morning to drop off my present before I had woken from my coma. Billie must have noticed I was nervous cause he took me hand and squeezed it, I smiled at him. Just at that moment the door opened and my mum and dad walked in. Mike, Tre and Billie got up to leave but I didn't want to be on my own so I grabbed Billie'shand and sat him back down.
*Billies POV*
She didn't want me to leave but I knew her dad did. Every time they came when she was in the coma he would give me cold looks. I was nervous now but sat back down like she wanted me to do. Her parents sat down on the chairs that were only moments before occupied by his best mates. He looked at Mandy an avoided the glare from her father. "Why the hell do you want him to stay?!" her dad said. She looked confused "Well one because he's my boyfriend and two because I love him" She said to him. I was still holding her hand but I dropped my gaze to the floor. "What!? After he nearly killed you!" he said angrilly his eyes burning into me. "Billie never did anything!" She shouted back at him. "Yes he did it's all fault and if you want to hang round with the likes of him then you can forget about coming home." He yelled. "So who are you going to choose us or him?". I was now staring at the evil man infront of me i'd never propally spoke to her dad so I didn't know about his anger. He stared right back at me and I could tell he wanted to hit me. Mandy looked from me to them. "Billie" she answered he dad glared at her "Fine then if that's how you want it!" he got up and dragged her mum with him. Her mum looked back at us and gave us a look as if to say 'Sorry'. They left the room and I was shocked I knew tears were streaming down my face. I now felt twice as guilty not only had I nearly killed her but now i'd ruined the relasionship between her and her parents to. I looked at her she was crying too. "Billie it's not your..." But it was to late I got up an I was running out the room I couldn't stand to see her cry. Mike and Tre saw me run out crying and I heard Tre go in Mandys room and she shouted at him to get me. I turned a corner and stopped. I lent on the wall and slid down it till I was sitting on the floor hugging my knees. I saw Tre come round the corner he stopped when he saw me and sat down next to me. "Billie whats going on?" he asked. I explained to him what had happend. "Wow that's harsh" he said. "I know" I said still crying "And it's all my fault..."
