Who I Am Hates Who I've Been, chapter 3

Hello there
the angel from my nightmare
the shadow in the background of the mourge
the unsuspecting victim of darkness in the valley
we can live like Jack and Sally if you want
where you can always find me/ and we'll have Halloween on Christmas
and in the night we'll wish this never ends
we'll wish this never ends

Well right now I'm with my friend Darcy walking downtown to this club where we're going to see this local band called 'Bleed The Photographs of Tomorrow'. While I'm thinking about how they sound Darcy steals a glance at me and says, " Something's wrong, I can tel-" I got a little paranoied by this cause whenever I don't have a smile on my face, she is quick to assume something is wrong. "No, nothing is wrong, my dear." I looked at her and she gave me one of those nods that show that you understand.

We end up finding the club after passing it at least two times. We show the security guards our ID to show that were 16 and then we open the doors to find a cramped, hot building full of sweaty people jumping around like a bunch of monkeys. Right away Darcy leaves me to fend for myself in the big, moshing audience. I end up making my way up a little bit from the stage. I started to get into the music and ended up jumping along with everyone else. That is, untill I got thrown in a mosh pit. First thing i got was an elbow in the stomach, which didn't feel too well. Then out of nowhere some guy pushes me backwards out of the pit. I stumble and I was about ready to fall when someone catched me.

"You okay?" came an unfamiliar voice behind me. Still a little dizzy from everyone pushing me around in the mosh put i slurred out "Yesh, I'm f-fine." I turn around to thank the guy who helped me, but then I started to choke on my words. Black shaggy hair pushed to the side like the lead singer of Taking Back Sunday's hair, skinny build like me, dark piercing hazel eyes, a Halifax t-shirt with a pair of jeans and some old beat-up converses. "U-um, t-tha-nk you" I stammer out. Jeez, I sounded like a star-struck little teenie."I'm Landon." He held out his hand, and I put out my hand and shook his."I'm Ramona." I'm not much of a good introducer, but this one has gone better despite of a sore stomach, a headache and a stomach ache from the heat. "Hey, you don't look soo good." And that's all i remember hearing before everything turned black.

Keep quiet/ nothing comes as easy as you/ can I lay in your bed all day?/ I'll be your best kept secret and your biggest mistake/ the hand behind the pen relives a failure everyday/ So wear me like a locket around your throat/ I'll weigh you down/ I'll watch you choke/ you look so good in blue/ you look so good in blue

My eyes open up sleepily, and I see a hazy, blurry image in front of my face. As my vision got a little clearer I could see Darcy, and-. Oh, jeez, Landon. What a great first impression. As I prop myself on my elbows, I find I'm at Darcy's house, on her bed. "What happened?" I asked, still not clear about what happened. Landon sits next to me, looking at me if his eyes are piercing a hole through me. " I asked you if you were feeling okay. Apparently you wern't 'cause you must of fainted. Your friend over here saw you in my arms from a distance.." His voice seemed to trail off as I got lost in his eyes.

But then I pulled myself back into reality. He couldn't possibly like me, I mean come on Ramona, you guys just met. There's no way he could possibly like you in any way."... and then me n Darcy brought you here. Understand now?" Oh shit I wasn't even listening to him. "Huh? Oh, okay, yea." I lied. I had absolutley no clue what we were talking about. I pulled my elbows out from under me and flopped back on the bed, looking at Darcy's bed side alarm clock. 1:30 A.M. Instantly, out of nowhere, i got hit with an instant migraine."Ahh, shit" I yelled out in agony. Darcy instantly came running to my side with some asprin and a cup of water.

As Darcy handed me the water and the asprin Landon said in a whisper sort of talk so he wouldn't wake anyone else in the house up, "I'm gonna get going. Get better ki-" "Wait! Don't go." Wait, did that just come out of my mouth? " I'll talk to you maybe sometime soon. Your friend gave me your number. Later." I listened to his footsteps from when he left Darcy's room to when the front door closed. And he was gone.
