1,000 Hours, chapter 13
***Josh's point of view***
I watched Mike wile he was drinking his coffee. He talked about how hard it would be for me to be Green Day's drummer, with endless tour's and alcohol at the bar's around the world. He was so.. Relaxed, I though to myself. I looked at the table and there it was again. That message. I'd read it once, or maybe twice more when Mike was still in the kitchen. I found out that I needed to know bout this, so I decided to ask him bout it. "That message.." I started. Mike looked at me. "What message?" I picked it up and showed it to him. "Oh that message," Mike said sadly. Why sadly? "What does it mean?" I asked him. "No one know's yet. Exept from.." he stopped. "Exept from who?" I asked. I was cureiouss now. "Tré?" I asked, afterall the message was signed by him. Mike nodded slowly. "Why have I replaced him really?" "Don't ask me bout this.." Mike started. "But I want to know." "Please." "I want to know!" "It's hard for me to talk about Josh!" "Yeah, but you can still talk about it!" I yelled. "Maybe I can't!" he yelled back. "Not to y..." he stopped. "Me?" I asked lowly. He shook his head. "Can we just... Talk bout something else?" he said, reaching out his hand. I laid the message in it. "Sure," I said. But I was still cureiouss on what was going on here..
***Billie's point of view***
"I think I will be of my way now," I told my brother, Allen. "Alright, nice to have you here Billie," he replied. "Always," I said and went out in the car.

Half an hour later I was home. I went in the livingroom where Mike and.. Josh was. "Hi," Mike said. "What's.." I started, but changed my mind. "Hi," I said instead, then looking at Josh. "Hi," I said. "Nice to have you here." Mike looked surprised at me. I looked back. I sat down beside 'em. "What was on the new's Mike?" "Oh, just the normal shit," he replied. "Aah." I said, then looking at Josh. "I am going to work for a little while, alright?" Mike said. "Yes," I said, still looking at Josh. Mike went out, and all could get in the open. "So Josh." I started. "Have you practised?" "Yeah," he replied. "Sinse I have to replace Tré I gotta work alo.." "You're not replacing him." I said short. "No one is replacing him. You're just here until he come back." "But.." he started. "Mike says he won't come home. Ever." I looked shocked at him. "Did Mike tell you that?" I asked while I felt the tears coming. "Yeah.." he replied, staring at me. I looked another way. "Mike told you wrong." I wispered. "One day Tré will be home. It might just.. Take some time." Josh nodded slowly. "I understand that you want that but.." I looked angry at him. "Don't you dare think you know something about Tré!" I said angrily. He nodded again. "So I am nothing?" he asked and looked at me. "Yes," I replied. "You are the drummer of our band for a little while." "What do you mean with a little while? I though you said that it could take a while for Tré to come home." he said, looking confused. "It will," I replied. "But if Tré isn't home after the L. A show's.. Then Green Day is splitted."
