1,000 Hours, chapter 16
[Josh's point of view:]
It was only a week left to the first L.A show, and I looked for to it like hell. Though, I couldn't get those damn cigarette's out of mind. "Maybe you should tell Mike bout your cigarettes," Ian told me. "Why should I do that? I mean, I'm sure there's nothing special about it, maybe it just looked like 1,000 Hours." I lied. Ian nodded. "It didn't sound like that when you came home that day," he said. "You gotta tell me man, I am damn cureiouss." "I dunno what that message ment." I said honestly. "Wat message?" he asked. I took a deep breath before I started. "Well, some day's ago, the same day with that cigarette stuff, I was over at Mike's place." "Go on," he said. "He was making some coffee, so I looked around me, like everyone does when they comes to new place's. So I looked at the table. And there was this message." "What did it say?" "'In 1,000 Hours.' Signed by Tré Cool, the man I am replacing." Ian's brown eyes got big. "What is it?" I asked him, confused. "Did the message say that?" Ian said, still with big eyes. "Yeah." Ian swallowed. "Hey, Ian, what's wrong with that?" I asked him nervously. "My brother left the same message when I was a little boy. After five week's and six day's, what will say In 1,000 Hours, we found him dead in our backyard." I looked shocked at him. "The second L.A concert," I said. Ian nodded.

I went over to Mike and Billie's place later that day. "They need to know," I told myself, and pushed the doorbell. The clock was around two in the afternoon, so I guessed they were up already. Billie opened the door. "Hi." I said. "Hey Josh. What are you doing here?" Billie said, smiling. "Uh.. I think you need to know something. Is Mike in?" "No, Mike's at work." "Oh right. But then I gotta tell you, it's about that messa.." I could hear a phone ring inside. "Just a seond," Billie said and went inside. I followed him. He talked for a while, before he went over to the sofa and sat down. I sat beside him. "Who was that?" I asked. "Just my ex-wife. My kid's are coming this weekend so.." he said. "But I guess that's not what you were coming to hear." "No, infact I wasn't gonna hear anything. Just tell you something about that messa.." My cell ringed. "Damn," I mumbled. "Hello?" "Hi Josh, it's Ian." "Wow, whata surprise," I said and rolled my eyes. "You gotta come here quick." "Why? I am just suppose to tell Billie something damn importaint." "You can't let him know," Ian wispered in my cell. "What the fuck? He must know." "But you can't tell him. He gotta figure out by himself. If you tell him, what if he is starting looking for a dead man? You don't want that, do you?" "Ian, you're retard!" I said and hung up. "What was that all about?" Billie said and stared hard at me. "Uh.. Nothing. I gotta go. See ya." I said and runned out of the door. "Damn Ian, you're gonna hear about this," I said angrily to myself before I started to walk home.
