Roxi was a normal girl with a normal life. She lived with here parents out in a small house in the middle of nowhere. She grew up to a life with no electricity, no technology, no body else, and no music, at all. She has been home schooled for all of here life but learned a lot. Her parents were old and usually sick and they would fight in the middle of the night outside, hoping that Roxi wouldn't hear them. And they were usually right, most of the time.
One day, when Roxi and her father were outside on a nice hot day, they decided that they would stay out laying on the grass until her mom called them in to eat. They had been sitting there for a long time, talking about nothing, then talk about something. Or just lay there looking at the clouds pass by.
After a long while, Roxi's mom finally called them in. Roxi rushed towards the house ready for food, but her father just laid there with his eyes closed, not moving, not breathing. Roxi called her mom to see him, and it turned that Roxi's father had died laying next to her. It was some time before her mom had to call up her fathers attorney to have some way to get this all cleared up.
One night, while Roxi was doing some homework in her room, she looked out her window and saw a man walking toward her house. She ran down stairs and saw that there was a man in a very nice suit standing outside her house. The mans hair was gelled back, his eyes were wide with expectations, and his shoes were shiny like his shoes. Roxi was staring at his shiny shoes until her mom welcomed him into there house. Roxi hide from the man that was so well groomed. Her mom and he walked in to the living room and Roxi followed still keeping away.
"Hello, Denise." He said. "I sure haven't seen you in a long time.
"Hello, David." Her mom responded. She didn't say anything else, she didn't even make eye contact with him. For some reason, Roxi happened to have a bad feeling about him.
"I am very sorry for your lose." He said as he reached out his hand to touch hers. But she just pulled back.
"I knew it was going to happen some day. But not so soon." Roxi's mom started to cry again. The man reached in his pocket and handed her a red handkerchief.
"Thank you." Roxi's mom said. She blew her nose then handed it back to him.
"Now," He started. "I know that you and your husband haven't been working for a couple of years and haven't gone to many different places."
"Yes, thats right."
"But, it says here that your husband had some money left over in his bank account from his previous job."
"Really?" Roxi's mom said, finally looking at him.
"Yes, and since then, the money has increased over the years."
"Really?"
"Yes, and according to my calculations, you and your daughter." He says as he looks over in Roxi's direction. "Has inherited..." His eyes suddenly showed a sign of shock.
"Oh my..."
"How much, how much dose it say?" Roxi's mom was standing now, looking both questionable and angry. Roxi stepped out of where she was hiding and walked up behind him. She gasped and put a hand over her mouth.
"You two have inherited..."
