A New Start, chapter 5

While Roxi was on the plane, she kept wondering about how her mother was doing, and what she was doing. But her thoughts were cut short by something shining up front on a large screen. A stewardess was in front of the screen and said a "movie" would be playing shortly.
Roxi had never seen a movie before, so she was astound by the rapidly flashing colors that were being displayed in front of her eyes.
When it was over, Roxi heard the captain mention something about some sort of "radio" and she thought if it was anything like the movie, she was willing to try it. So when the stewardess came by to help her get it all ready, she turned it on and the first song that she ever heard, for the very first time, was by a band called Green Day. The song was called "Holiday."
Roxi enjoyed it very much. She danced along in her seat, making everyone look at her, but she just kept dancing along to the catchy tune. She caught on to the words very quickly and sang along to the course.
"I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies! This is the dawning of the rest of our liiiiiiives, on HOLIDAAAAYS!"
Roxi jumped when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned down the music and waited to hear what the stewardess had to say about interrupting her fun.
"Miss, I'm getting some complaints about the volume control over in this area, so I'm gonna have to ask you to lower your voice a little."
Roxi apologized and was about to put her headphones back on, when the stewardess tapped her shoulder again.
"Hey, sorry bout that. Just these snobs, thats all. But I'm a major Green Day fan, too." She said with a smile. She turned around and left. Roxi put her headphones back on and expected to here more singing, but it was the captain's voice this time, announcing that the plane would be landing shortly. Then music came back on, but in a flash, it was over.
'Just screw it. ' Roxi thought. And soon enough, the captain turned on the 'Fasten Seat Belts' sign, and started landing the plain.
