Alone, chapter 2
***ROXYS POV***
Great. Just great. Not only did I have to be nice to that little twerp, but I had to resist smacking him, which proved to be really difficult. Seriously though, if I even tapped him Craterface would kill me!! Maybe even literaly!! I HATE THAT KID!!
***BILLIE JOE POV***
I really like Roxy. Well, at first I didn't, but when she found out I was Mrs Armstrong's son, she changed her attitude completely. Maybe she thinks my mother is a superb teacher, so thinks I would make a good friend.
I didn't particularly like her clothes though I must admit. A T-shirt with a grenade on it isn't exactly my idea of the perfect outfit, and her jeans had more holes in than actual material. But I didn't mind. I know that it's the person that counts not the outfit. Since she was my first friend, I thought it would be nice to invite her over for tea.
***ROXYS POV***
I didn't know what to say. He stood infront of me with this weird smile on his lips, that made him look like a hoover. I had two choices. One was to suffer hours of boredom at one of my teachers houses acting like I was enjoying myself, and my other choice was to scream into his face that I would rather eat my own leg and run out the door. You can probably guess which choice I made. I screamed my choice into his face, and as I ran out the door he exploded into tears. Nah not really. I'm just screwing with you.
As we walked out of the school towards the car, Craterface grabbed my shoulder and gestured for her son to run ahead. I knew what was coming straight away.
"My son sure has taken a shine to you." She spat cruelly at me. I merely took a deep breath and nodded.
"He's quite some kid. He means the world to me. So if you hurt him in anyway physically or emotionally, I'm going to...."
She took her hands and slammed them together viciously. My insides turned to sawdust. I couldn't believe what I was getting myself into, but I knew there was no way out of it now.
"Got that?"
How could I have not got it?! I didn't understand sign language but I knew what she had ment. We both clambered into the car and I was driven out of the frying pan and into the fire.
