Well Then... Urgh I Hate Titles, chapter 1
Wade was 17 years old and in grade 12 at Huntsville High School in Huntsville, Ontario. His parents had made the decision to move closer to town, because it was easier for them to get to work, and for him to get to school. Wade hated them for it. It wasn't like he couldn't see his friends or anything- he was still in the same town- but he probably wouldn't be able to see them as often outside of school, because they all lived on the outskirts, where Wade was moving away from. The Cormack family were packing the last of their things before the moving truck arrived later that day. Wade had his friend Justin over to help him pack, and to spend some quality time with him. Justin picked up Wade's paintball gun, and pretended to shoot him with it. "Argh!! You got me!" Wade cried out, falling to the floor dramatically. The two friends laughed together for a while until they finally got back to packing. Eventually, the last of Wade's things were in cardboard boxes and the only thing left to do was to disassemble the furniture. Wade got a screwdriver out of his dad's box of tools, and they began to take apart his dresser.

As the movers helped Wade's dad fit the rest of the moving boxes into the truck, Wade turned to Justin and hugged him. " I'll see you around?" Justin nodded.
"Maybe you can come over on the weekend and go paintballing with us?"
"Yeah. Awesome. I'll call you when I'm done unpacking and stuff." Justin nodded again and the two hugged again before Wade had to get into the car to move to their new home. Everyone was silent for most of the ride. Patti, Wade's mom, was sick of the silence and decided to bring up the subject of their daughter, Sam, who was in university in Waterloo.
"So, Wade, have you heard from Sam yet? Has she been on msn lately?"
"No." Wade replied somewhat bitterly. Patti soon dropped the subject, realising that it was doing no good to try to talk to her youngest child. The car pulled into their new driveway, right after the moving truck. Wade got out and slammed the door, his bright orange hair swaying as he did so. His hair used to be shoulder length, and really curly, until his mom made him cut it off. He tried to look on the bright side of it, insisting to himself that it was probably better for work, so he didn't have to pull it back into a ponytail anymore. He had had a bad experience with that. Some old lady had come up to the counter in the grocery store and said, "Excuse me, miss?" obviously referring to him, because there weren't any girls around. His friend, Alex, who also worked there, never let him live it down. " Hey Wilma!" he would say in a girlie voice every time Wade walked around a corner. Stupid Alex. Alex can burn in hell. Tardo.
Wade snapped out of his flashback and took a box labelled: LIVING ROOM into the house. He set it down on the floor of the new living room and left the house for another box. Eventually, all of the boxes were inside, and the moving guys had offered to help assemble some of the furniture, since they had a lot of time until they had to be at the next house. The beds and dressers were together, and in the right places when the moving men left the house at about 5:00. Patti had offered to make them something to eat, but they insisted against it. Wade now sat on his naked bed, looking around the room. He decided to paint it Red, his favourite colour, so he didn't unpack much, knowing that he would just have to pack it up again to paint. He put his clothes into the overcrowded closet, and his things into the dresser. His posters and shelves, as well as the things that would go on them, remained in their boxes. His computer remained packed too, sitting in it's original box by his desk, and his guitars and amp were sitting in a corner by his closet. He put his sheets on his bed, and laid back on it, staring at the ceiling fan, watching the blades spin around and around... Wade finally walked out of the room to find his mother sitting comfortably at the dining room table, talking to his goody-two-shoes sister, Sam, on the phone, and his dad, Scott, sprawled across the couch, watching Wayne's World. Wade would have to wait for his mom to get off of the phone to call Justin. He sighed. This could take a while. He walked back into his room slowly and picked up his acoustic guitar. He started strumming Good Riddance (time of your life) and hummed the melody. He was awakened from his trance by the doorbell ringing, but let his mom get it.

New neighbours. Joy. Well, moms making me go introduce myself. Stupid mother. I have a stupid mother. I bet the new neighbours are old stinky smelly people. Mom's going to work so she can't introduce herself till tomorrow so she's making me do it now. I don't wanna...

Patti got up to answer the door, saying goodbye to Sam and setting the phone on the table. Wade, who was just walking out of his room at the time, darted over to the table and seized the phone, and was just about to dial Justin's number when he glanced over to the door to see who was there.
