This song is for you..., chapter 17

Billie Joe layed on his bed in the hotel room, thinking of Olivia. He missed his chance at calling her, and guilt was practically drowning him. As he layed there, he listened to the sound of the pouring rain, letting it drown out the noisy silence through out the room. Meanwhile, coming up the stairs towards his room, was someone Billie didn't think he'd be seeing for a while.

Olivia walked down the long hall, toward room 803, her father's room. Her clothes were soaked of pouring rain. She looked as though she jumped into a pool with her clothes on. She sniffled as a cold she had, started to catch up with her. She approached the door, took a deep breath and knocked a couple of times. She had the slightest idea if Billie was even there, but her angst wasn't dying down. The door opened, and Billie looked down at her. She jumped up and gave him a hug, and the father and daughter shared a moment of affection.

"Livvie, what are you doing here!?" Billie asked her in shock.

"I missed you so much, so I just.. I just asked Uncle David for a ride and he brought me!"

"Well, get in here munchkin!" he said, "and tell me how things are doing at home"

"Alright daddy"

Olivia walked into the suite, and Billie shut the door. She set her Adeline backpack down on the floor and pulled out some, miraculously, dry clothes. She ran into the bathroom, put them on, and put her hair up into a pony tail. Then, she went back out into the living room and plopped down on the couch where Billie was waiting for her.

"Alright, how are things going? What's new?" he asked her.

"Well, Joey and Jakob, they have been fighting quite a bit, but mommy took away the x-box, and told them they can't have it back until they stop" she told him with a giggle, "and mommy, well, she's been working hard at Adeline, and she even designed an outfit just for me! She misses you alot though. And me, I've been listening to music alot, and DADDY I CAN PLAY MY GUITAR SO GOOD NOW!" she exclaimed.

"I'm glad things are good" he said, "and I hope you know I missed you all alot! I've been dying to get back home to see you! I'm sorry I never got to call you that one time, but I was out with Uncle Mike and Uncle Tre" he explained.

"It's okay daddy, I understand" she said, "nothing is as important as Uncle Mike and Uncle Tre" she said, her green eyes sparkling. Billie looked at her with hurt eyes. Those words kept running through his head... "nothing is as important as Uncle Mike and Uncle Tre" He shook his head disappointedly and smiled at Olivia. Then he pulled her into a hug, and they sat there together, in an embrace, for quite a while.

"Olivia! Time for breakfast honey!" Adrienne yelled up to her. Silence echoed back to her, so she started up the stairs to Olivia's room. She knocked on the door and when there was no answer, she let herself in. Adrienne looked around at the untouched room. There was no trace of Olivia being there. She sighed and walked out of the room. From there, she went in to both boy's rooms, and asked them if they'd seen Olivia. When they both said no, Adrienne started to panic. Olivia ALWAYS, came down for breakfast no matter WHAT happened. She ran down the stairs to the phone and dialed up Billie. It rang three times before he picked up.

"Hello?" he asked.

"Billie, Olivia's gone!" she said worriedly into the phone.

"No, no, she's here with me" he said calmly.

"WHAT? HOW DID SHE GET THERE?!" she yelled at him.

"Baby, calm down. David brought her here last night, cause she missed me, but don't get mad, she's safe, and she's right here if you want to talk to her"

"Well I was worried sick! But yeah, I want to talk to her please"

Billie Joe gave Olivia the phone and told her it was Adrienne. She looked frightened for a minute, but put it up to her ear.

"Hey mommy" she said quietly.

"Honey, what were you thinking, running away like that? I was so worried about you!" Adrienne told her.

"I'm really sorry. I just missed daddy so much that I just had to go see him. I hope you aren't too mad at me" she said.

"No, it's okay, but don't do that to me again alright?" she asked.

"I won't, I promise."

"Okay, I love you hon, so can I please talk to daddy again?"

"Okay mommy, I love you too" she said, handing the phone to Billie Joe. She went into the other room and listened to her ipod while Billie and Adrienne talked on the phone. As soon as the conversation was over, Billie hung up the phone and walked into the living room where he admired Olivia dancing crazily, and singing to Hitchin' A Ride...

Which brought a grin to his face.
