Stay together for the kids! (Because of you), chapter 1
The a teenager and a small girl were in the corner of the dark, locked room. Covering their ears from the yelling and sound of things smashing. The older girl is trying to calm the younger one down. They hear thudding up stairs. The younger one runs into bed. The older girl grabs her headphones and puts them on. A tall man steps into the room.
"Get up!" He yells grabbing the matress of the young girls bed and flipping it over so she flys off.
"You're leaving!" He screams. The older one takes of her headphones and runs to her young sister's side.
"Why are we leaving, where to?" She asks helping the girl up.
A sobbing women enters the room. She is about 30, 29. She's the girl's mother.
"You're living with her, I can't take you anymore." He pushes past the women.
The oldest girl went to her mom and put her arm round her. The women flung her off and ran out.
"What's going on Adie? What's happening?" The little girl asked.
"I don't know." Adrienne said holding back tears. This had happened before.
"Now listen Kelly, no matter what happens I'm here ok!" Adrienne said picking up Kelly and putting her in her bed.
Adrienne stepped outside her room and went over to her parent's bedroom. Her mom was sitting on the bed crying.
"Are you getting a divorce?" Adie asked still standing there.
"Yes! I can't even have a bit of fun cause of him. He doesnt understand that when he married me I came with a past!" The women yelled loud enough so the man could hear.
"What do you mean. Past?" Adie asked still not coming in the room.
The man stormed upstairs once again. He pushed past Adrienne and entered the room.
"You're not my kids! She's been having an affair!" He screamed. The women shut the door on Adrienne. She knew all along. So did her sister. Adrienne stood at the door.
"Me and Kelly! Are we half sisters?" She asked.
"No you were both with him!" The women yelled with a bit of laughter in her voice.
Kelly had ran out of her room. She looked downstairs to see her farthers suitcases by the door. She ran down and sat on them so he could not leave. Their father lifted her off. Kelly grabbed the handle and would not let go. The man took her hand of it. He got in his car and left.
**********************Adies P. O. V***************************
**********************NEXT DAY. ****************************
I was walking home from school. I past Kelly's school to see Kelly still waiting Mom hadnt picked her up! I had been in detention for and hour. I looked at my phone. Mom had text me.
[i]New boyfriends coming over for tea tonight, Can't pick Kelly up so take her somewhere after school. I will ring you when I want you to be back it should be about 8. LOVE MOM X</1>
I ran towards Kelly. I took her hand. She reached in her pocket and pulled out about 50 dollars.
"Mom gave me this. Her new boyfriend's rich." She said.
"Goldigger! She has a new boyfriend already. Dads been gone a day!" I said looking at the money in disgust.
"We don't want his dirty money!" Kelly laughed.
"Then you won't want to come to the mall!" I laughed counting through the notes.
My 7 year old sister giggled.
"Lets get a pizza and get some new clothes and..." I looked at Kelly's old ripped backpack. It used to be mine. I don't get how our family has lots of money and we still give Kelly hand me downs!
"And how bout we get you a knew backpack!" I said. She smiled.
We got to the mall. We had 75 dollars all together in cash. I bought Kelly lots of stuff. New things she needed. School supplies and clothes. We had lunch.
I looked round a few punk stores. I saw them. Those 45 dollar shoes. I had just enough. I still hadnt bought Kelly's backpack. She got bullied because of it.
"Buy them." Kelly said.
I smiled and walked out the shop. We went to a bagshop and I bought Kelly's backpack. It said on it Scary mary. She loved it. I went to pay for it.
My purse! I left it in the other shop.
I looked in my bag panicking. It had my mom's credit card in there too.
Someone tapped me on the shoulder. The most cutest guy was standing there with my purse.
"You left this." He said holding out my purse. Kelly smiled at us. We stood there for a bit not saying anything. I paid for the bag. I looked at the time. It was quarter too 8.
"Well buy." I said blushing.
"Wait... Erm. Here's my number if you ever... Erm... Lose your purse again." He said nervously.
"Hopefully it will be soon." I said.
"Do you want to go get a coffe?" He asked. I looked at my watch then at Kelly.
She nodded. Well I suppose another hour would not hurt. Mom had not rang yet!
We had been in the cafe for hours. Mom had not rung. Kelly was asleep on my lap. Me and the boy who's name was Billie were still flirting.
I was really tired. It was 12. 00.
"How come you're not going home?" I asked Billie Joe.
"My mom's boyfriends round." He said.
"Me too." I sighed looking at the time.
We looked at each other blushing for a bit. He leaned forward to kiss me. I leant in.
We kissed for ages. His phone started going of.
"Ok mom." He put it down.
"She's gone to his house." He said." You want to stay over for tonight?" He asked.
We slept over at his house. Kelly was in Billie's bed. Me and Billie stayed up all night talking. My phone rang several times. I ignored it.
