This is NOT a fucking love story!, chapter 3
He looked confused and after a second he just shrugged his shoulders and walked into the garage.
When he got in the back, where all the band stuff was, he said with a bright smile. "Nice!...Really nice."
He took a closer look at the amps and the drums and the guitar, that was standing around.
Tina stood right behind him and watched him walking around.
"Well..." She started, but she actually had no idea what she wanted to say.
"How many songs have you written? How many are in this band?" Kendall asked and turned around to her.
"Well, we don´t have that much songs, since there are only two of us." Tina answered and took a look at her watch.
"Goddness, it´s late. I have to pick up a friend." she continued. Instead of saying anything, Kendall just smiled at her.
(and yeah, it seems like this guy is always smiling)
She looked up to him and for the very first time, their eyes met.
Now Tina realized how beautiful his green eyes are. Some of his short blond dyed hair was hanging in his face, which
made him even look cuter. For a little while she couldn´t take her eyes of him, but then reminded herself to stay real.
"Oh cool you have a Green Day poster!" Kendall turned away and looked at the wall. "Green Day rockz, dude." He said, but
Tina, as much as she liked it to hear that, pushed him in direction of the door. "Yeah Yeah nice and now let´s go or you
wanna stay here?" she asked bored and left the garage.
Right after they both left, another car pulled into the parking lot. It was a little yellow beat up car.
A woman, not too old looking, got out. "Hey darling." she greeted friendly.
Tina turned around, signed and slightly waver her hand. When the woman came up to them, Tina said in a little friendlier tone."I need the car, mom!" "okay, well....here."
Her mom gave her the keys. "Are the bikes alright?" She asked Tina, who nodded. "Okay, then I´ll leave in a little bit, too."
"Alright." Tina answered and went into the house, leaving a little confused looking Kendall outside.
"Hello." Tina´s mom greeted him, but walked away to the house, without waiting for an answer.
After she was in the house, Kendall looked around and finally sat down on the chair, where Eric was sitting
about a half hour ago.
Just a couple of minutes later, Tina came back outside with a cellphone in her hand.
"What? Are you sure?"
Tina almost yelled into the phone. Kendall looked up to her. She walked up to him and it seems the last minutes
made a whole different girl out of her. She sat down on a chair next to him and offered him a cigarette, which he took.
"No, really? Oh my goddness. That´s so cool." she sounded so excited, that was almost scary.
She hold up a lighter and hold it up to the ciagette in Kendalls mouth. He looked at her and wanted to say something, but decided not to bother her.
"Okay, we´ll talk in a sec. I´ll be there in a little bit." Tina put her cellphone in her little bag she had on her shoulder.
And for the very first time -after a long time of depression- was a smile on her face.
"Hey,hey. You finally found your smile." Kendall said and blew out the smoke. But soon he realized that her mind was somewhere else
and he didn´t wanted to destroy her good mood. Tina shrugged her shoulders, but still smiling.
After they finished their ciagretts, Tina jumped up and went to the car. "Are you coming?" she turned and looked questioning at Kendall.
He got up and followed her in the car.
Tina was totally concentrated on driving, when Kendall looked over to her and asked. And now he knows, that shouldn´t have asked.
"Was that you´re boyfriend on the phone?" Tina, without taking her eyes of the street, changed her smile into her usual
cold look. "What would be if it was him?" she asked colder than zero degrees (cool, huh...can you even imagine that look?)
"Why don´t you wanna tell me. I thought we´re friends?" Tina turned to him and raiser her eybrows. "Are we?"
Friends? what the hell was he thinking.
They´ve known each other for about 10 hours or even less. She could use some more friends, but this guy right next to her, was somehow
creepy. He was hot and friendly and everything, but that was exactly what made Tina suspicious. It´s not, that there wasn´t
anybody who was ever nice to her, but these people were all the geeks and I mean, come on who wanna hang out with a geek.
But one nice day, Tina realized, that probably all the other people thought that of her. None of the hot guys ever wanted to hang
up with her, not even ever spoke to her. But then came Kendall and he´s for so damn sure no geek.
Tina let go her thoughts and turned the radio louder.
"DON´T WANNA BE AN AMERICAN IDIOT ...." The sound of Billie Joe´s voice filled the car. Tina ignored Kendall, who sat
disappointed next to her, and sang quitly along with the music.
A half hour later, Tina parked the car in front of a house in the city. Tina lives in the suburbs of this city, so it took a while to get
to this house.
"Okay" she said and turned around to clean up the backseats. She was hanging between the two frontseats and it looked for sure weird from the
outside.
She was so close to Kendall, that he could smell the cherry parfume. He looked at her hanging there and asked himself why she
is that way, why is she so ignorant to him. Before he could figure out an answer, she got back on the frontseat. Her blond hair was hanging wild in her face
and her cheeks were rose colored.
"Okay, you better get in the back." she said and tried to put her hair back where it belongs.
Kendall got out and jumped on the backseat, while Tina got out and went to the house.
He still had this cherry smell in his nose and thought there just had to be something, that would finally break the ice between them.
With this thought in his mind, he checked out the car and crawled with his upper body in the front of the car.
He opend the glove compartment. What he found didn´t suprised him that much, it was full of CD´s, better it was full of
Green Day CD´s. He closed it and got back in the seat. Down to his feet was her bag. He looked out of the window and saw Tina
sill talking with her friend, who was holding a guitarbag in her hand.
Kendall thought about if he should really do it and after making up his mind, he opend the bag and looked in it.
He found a drivers licence, a cellphone, cigaretts and a purse. He took out the purse and opend it. There was an I.D. card,
some money, acouple of other stuff and a picture. He took out the picture and looked at it. Actually he had no idea what to think.
The picture showed a young guy behind drums. Kendall knew for damn sure who that was, cause he was a Green Day fan, too. And
this guy on the picture was Tré. But why in everything in the world would someone carry an old picture Tré around.
He did´t had the time to think about that an longer, cause the girls came back, so he put back the picture and threw it back in the bag.
Tina glanced at him, as if she had realized what´s going on, but she did´t said anything.
The girls put the guitar in the back of the car and got in.
Tina's friend turned around to Kendall and smiled. "Hey, you´re the guy Tina told me about, aren´t you? I´m Jule."
Jule was pretty much the total opposite of Tina -so friendly and happy.
After the two of them shaked hands, Jule turned back and Tina started the car and turned down the radio.
Jule was pretty much as tall as Tina, skinnier than her and had long dark hair. She was two years younger than Tina and Kendall, 16.
"Hey, how do you know that?" Tina asked her and took a look to the right site. "My dad told me." Jule answered. "Your dad?
How´d he know?" Tina started to laugh. Kendall looked desperate, he wanted to know what they´re talking about.
"Hey what are you talking about?" he asked and leaned forward. There was this cherry smell again.
While Tina ignored him, Jule answered. "Green Day´s coming to Germany in about a month." Kendall looked suprised.
"I didn´t even know that."
The rest of the way, Jule and Tina talked about their band and once or twice Kendall said something.
When he got in the back, where all the band stuff was, he said with a bright smile. "Nice!...Really nice."
