This is NOT a fucking love story!, chapter 6
The next day Tina had to wake up early in the morning. She put the CD´s in her backpack and left with the bike for school.
About 45 minutes later she sat down on the stone thing in front of the school and lightened a cigarette. She felt pretty bad and wanted to try to be a little nicer to Kendall, even though she was still sure, that he was just playing with her.
She blew out the smoke, when someone said. "You shouldn´t smoke so much." Tina looked up into these bright shiny green eyes. "Hey" she said. He smiled and sat down next to her.
"I just have to ask you this." After a while Tina said, but didn´t looked at him, instead she starred at the ground. "What is it?" he asked and looked down to her. She lifted her head up to him and looked right into his eyes (yeah his eyes are amazing).
"Why are you so nice to me? I mean even after I´ve been so shitty to you and everything, you know." Kendall looked surprised by this question. He tried to figure out what she was thinking, but her face was empty.
"Gosh girl." He said smiling, but couldn´t find the right words.
"I don´t know. After all I just thought, this girl has to have a good site and I wanted to find it." He stopped, cuz he knew that this sounded retarded. Tina starred at him; that was for sure the lamest answer she ever got.
"Well, okay. All the other people in school seem so weird and you´re the only one I know who likes punk music and Green Day. All these girls came up to me and are like: Oh my Gosh, you are so cute, and so on." He tried to explain and changed his voice for the part : Oh my Gosh you´re so cute.
Kendall grinned.
"You´re nice to me, cuz I like Green Day?" Tinas eyes widened, she couldn´t believe it.
"Dude, you´re so weird." She said and started to laugh.
After a while they got into school. "What do you have now?" Tina asked him. "Uhm... Math." "Poor guy, well, we´ll meet later." And with these word she left him. Once again he watched her walking away. She was wearing these big black pant and a army jacket with buttons. It somehow didn´t fit together, but she didn´t care too much about it.
Tina got in her class and she was right on time. She got to her seat and took out the CD´s she copied on the weekend.
"Hey Ruth." She whispered to the girl in front of her. Ruth was one of her friends, but she had very strict parents and wasn´t allowed to do anything alone. This girl was 18- it was a really crazy thing.
Ruth turned around to Tina. "I got the CD´s. "Ruth smiled a little. She was a huge metal fan, even though she for sure didn´t looked like that.
"Okay, that´ll be... wait... uhm... 8 Euros (pretty much the same as Dollar)." Tina counted the CD´s while Ruth was looking for the money. She gave it to Tina and Tina gave her the CD´s, but what they didn´t realized was that they were watched by someone of the class. It was a guy, who couldn´t stand Tina, whysoever. It was pretty much hat from both sites. A hatful grin ran over his face.
After the deal was done, school was pretty much over, at least for Tina. That means she did everything else than paying attention to any teacher.
The weeks went by pretty fast. Tina and Kendall got along better everytime they met and finally after about 2 weeks they became best friends. You could almost say they were inseparable. They saw each other in every break in school and every Friday to practice with Jule at Tinas house. Sometimes they just sat around and talked about god and the world.
But one day, Tina was sitting in front of the school again and smoked. School hasn´t started yet and Kendall came up. "Hey little punklady, how´s going?" he greeted her with a smile. "Fine, what about you?" she answered. It was a good feeling when he was around. And exactly this fact made it even harder for her to understand, why she had been so mean to him.
He sat down next to her. After he lightened a cigarette, he turned to her. "Tina!" he said serious. "I have to tell you something that I wanted to tell you all the time." She starred at him. Had it been a game? Was he going to tell her, that he was just playing? Did something happen? She had no idea.
"I just wanted to tell you that ... ." "HEY HO" Kendall was interrupted by a girl called Sophie. She was another friend of Tina and Ruth and she was in the same class. Kendall looked a little annoyed and confused up, where a smiling face came up to them. "Hey" Tina greeted her and was somehow happy that she came. She had never seen him this serious and that couldn´t mean any good.
Sophie lightened a cigarette and looked at Kendall. "What do you wanted to say?" Tina turned to him, but he got up. "Nevermind. Gotta go to class." "Okay have fun." Tina smiled and Kendall left.
"Who was that?" Sophie asked, after Kendall vanished in the building. "A friend. He´s an exchange student from the USA." Tina explained. "Cool."
After 5 minutes of silence, Sophie asked. "Are you coming?" "Yeah!" and both of them went into the school building. It seemed like an ordinary day, nothing exciting happened and school sucked as always.
It was pretty much one week before the concert. Suddenly in the last class, was a knock on the door. The teacher opened it and Kendall entered the room.
"Here´s our new student. He had to change the class, because there were some problems in the old one. His name is Kendall Lane Teague from Oklahoma." Then she turned to Kendall and smiled a bit. "Please take a seat Kendall."
The teacher was a middle-aged woman, who was pretty self conceited. This woman thought, she could speak perfectly English, but oh well. Tina couldn´t stand her.
But when Kendall walked in, Tina was pretty surprised. He smiled, while he took the seat next to her. He was pretty luck, cause usually sits a girl next to Tina, but she was sick right now. "Hey there!" Tina whispered. "Hey!" Kendall grinned.
"Gosh, I´m so excited. Next week is the concert." Tina looked to him. Whenever she spoke about the concert, her face became like rose colored and her eyes glanced,like the eyes of a stoned person.
"I hope I have the chance to get on stage. Oh my Goodness, just the thought about playing drums in front of so many people. Like a dream." She smiled and Kendall looked at her with a fake serious face. "What is if you´re fucking up?"
Tina started to laugh, which made the teacher look pretty mad and she whispered. "Oh well, at least I was on stage, right?"
The teacher had enough. "Why don´t you two of you tell everybody in the class, what´s so funny!" Kendall and Tina hadn´t even realized that the teacher was standing right in front of them. Tina looked up in the mad face of the woman and wanted to laugh, but tried to hide it. The teacher turned to go back in the front and Tina laid her head on her arms and started to giggle.
Suddenly it knocked on the door and the teacher went to the door. She opened it and then talked to someone, but no one could understand what they were saying. Just a little later the teacher turned back to the class and pointed at Tina and Kendall.
"Tina and Kendall get your stuff and go to the principals-office."
That didn´t sounded good at all.
