Troubled times brought me to you, chapter 1

Beep beep beep "Shut the fuck up already!" Adrienne was not too happy about getting up for school that morning, but then again she never enjoyed getting up at 6am. She still got herself up knowing very well what would happen if she went back to sleep.
She made her way downstairs to eat breakfast before going out to catch the bus. When Adrienne entered the kitchen, her father looked up from the newspaper and said like he did every morning "Good morning Adrienne." Adrienne smiled at her father and said " Good morning dad." Adrienne sat down at the table and her mother placed a plate in front of her, it had eggs, bacon and toast on it. "Thanks mom." Adrienne looked at her mother and smiled. "Your welcome honey." Adrienne looked up at the kitchen clock " Oh I gotta go bye mom bye dad." " Bye honey." Said her parents in unison.
Adrienne spotted her best friend in all of Spain outside the school waiting for her like always she ran up to Adrienne. " Hi Adie." "Hi Carmen!" Adrienne was about to ask Carmen something but the school bell rung ands she was forced to wait till lunch.
It was the first day of 5th grade and Adrienne had Mrs. Balash as her teacher while Carmen had Mr. Morgan. Adrienne had decided that the first day of school was really boring because the teacher only talked about what they would be learning for that year so Adrienne never really paid much attention. That is until they came back from their after lunch special which was music. The teacher was talking about how they would be relearning how to divide fractions when the principal and two policemen interrupted the class. The principal walked up to the teacher and whispered something in her ear. Than she said " Adrienne you need to go with the principal." Suddenly the room echoed with the sound of her fellow classmates saying " ouuuuuu she's in trouble." The teacher said, " Kids quiet she is not in trouble."
The policemen drove Adrienne to the hospital and she got a really bad feeling about what was waiting for her inside. " ADRIENNE!" her mother yelled to her Adrienne saw her sitting in a chair she looked like she had been crying. " Mom what's wrong?" " Honey daddy got in a car accident on his way home from work." Adrienne couldn't believe what she just heard. " But he doesn't get out of work this early." Adrienne said " I know he got out early to pick you up from school, but he never made it there." Adrienne could feel the tears burn at her eyes aching to fall down her face and that's exactly what they did. " Is... he... Going... . t to b be ok?" Adrienne was crying so much that she couldn't even say the sentence correctly. " I don't know honey, we'll just have to wait and see."
Adrienne and her mother waited for almost an hour when finally the doctor came out, he walked up to Adrienne and her mother. " Mrs. Sanchez can I talk to you privately?" The doctor had a grim look on his face. " No whatever you have to say, you can say in front of my daughter too." Adrienne's mother had always been a very stern person.
" Ok well I'm sorry to say but we lost him on the operating table." Adrienne instantly broke down into tears and hugged her mother never wanting to let go, but what she didn't know was that on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean was a boy who had just lost his father too and soon these two would meet and they would not regret their meeting.
