How the hell did this happen?, chapter 2
"What the hell is happening?" Billie started to mumble.
"Holy shit he's waking up!" Holly said from the front seat. She quickly turned around to stare at Billie.
"Who the hell are you people?" Billie asked.
"We're...we're..." Holly started.
Suddenly Billie's head was banged against the window, knocking him out once more.
"Carissa!" Holly screamed.
"What? He was waking up. We don't know what we're going to tell them yet."
"What are we supposed to tell them? We saw you on the highway and decided to kidnap you?" Holly asked.
"No, we'll tell them the truth." Kelley said. "We'll tell them that we accidentally mistook them for someone who would rape us and then accidentally knocked them out. That's not such a bad idea."
"I thought we would just put them back where we found them and call the police." Holly suggested.
"That sounds better." A voice said. Carissa turned her head to see Mike fully awake and listening to their conversation.
"Oh my god!" Carissa said. She picked up her bat and started to swing when Mike grabbed the end of it.
"I really wish you would stop doing that." He said. He grabbed the bat completely from Carissa's grip.
"Mr. Dirnt please don't hurt us you have to believe us this was completely unintentional!" Holly started pleaded.
"I'm sure it was." Another voice piped in.
Holly turned her head towards Tre seeing him fully awake.
"Well now that everyone is awake and well." Kelley said. "Maybe we can pull over and explain everything that happened."
"Um... Billie's still out." Holly said.
"Yeah sorry about that." Carissa said.
Kelley pulled the car over and put it in park. She then turned the top half of her body around to see the others.
"You guys aren't going to attack us are you?" Mike asked. He seemed really calm for what he had just gone through.
"No, we never meant to in the first place." Carissa explained.
"That's not what I saw; the first thing I saw before coming to my friend's aid was you completely knocking Billie out." Tre said.
"I thought he was attacking me!" Kelley said. "And then I thought you were trying to attack me to!"
"Only because I was trying to stop you from killing Billie!" Mike said.
"Okay, okay. Basically this whole thing was a misunderstanding. We never meant to hurt you guys. We saw a van parked on the side of the road and we thought we would see if you needed help. We didn't know who you were. I mean come on, a van?" Kelley explained.
"Yeah well it's a long story." Tre said.
"Trust me, we've got time." Holly said.
"Okay well, it started with a phone call we got a couple weeks back. This guy called us saying that he and a couple of his buddies were going to make sure this was our last tour." Tre started.
"What?" Holly asked.
"He said he was going to make sure we died before we finished the tour, at all costs. That's why we didn't have our families come. And then we got that bomb threat two days ago." Mike said.
"Bomb threat? You mean at the concert?" Carissa asked.
"No, our tour bus!" Tre said.
"Yeah, he gave us a letter saying he was gonna blow the bus up while we were traveling or something." Mike finished.
"So what's with the van?" Kelley asked.
"We started taking that as soon as we got the bomb threat. It was sort of a diversion." Tre explained.
"Oh I get it now. You didn't want to get blown to smithereens." Kelley said.
"Right." Mike said giving her a weird look.
"So what are the guys gonna do once they find out you're not in the van? They don't know where you live do they?" Holly asked.
"I don't think so, but I could be wrong." Mike said.
Billie started to stir. He opened his eyes and stared straight at Carissa. He sat straight up and tried to move away from her.
"Keep her away from me!" He shouted.
"Billie! Calm down its okay, they're not gonna hurt you." Tre assured him.
"I'm not so sure of that!" Billie shouted again. He kept himself close to the door.
"Anyway, we took the bus so the guys wouldn't know exactly where we are." Mike said.
"Okay, so what are we gonna do now?" Carissa asked.
"We should probably get to somewhere to spend the night. It's ten o' clock." Kelley said. Mike, Tre, Holly, Carissa and Billie all agreed.
Kelley started the car again and the six of them headed towards a motel out in the nearest town. Once they got to the motel, they all walked into the lobby and checked into two rooms.
Kelley, Carissa, and Holly all stayed in one room while Billie, Mike, and Tre stayed in the other right across the hall. They all got settled in their rooms. The guys walked across the hall and knocked on the girl's door. Holly answered it and let the guys in.
