How the hell did this happen?, chapter 3
"We were gonna head over to that diner across the street did you guys want to come?" Billie asked.
"I'm up for it. Kelley, Carissa did you want to go?" Holly asked.
"Sure why not?" Carissa answered.
"I think I'm gonna pass. I'm feeling a little dizzy from everything that's happened." Kelley said. She lay down on the bed.
"Okay we'll catch you later when we get in." Holly said as they all left the room, leaving Kelley alone.
The five of them walked across the not so busy street and into the diner that was not so full. They had no trouble getting a table, seeing as how it was nearly midnight and the town was the biggest out there. Once they got their table, they all ordered something to eat.
"So what are you guys gonna do about the shows you have to put on?" Holly asked.
"Tonight was our last show for another two months. We'll be heading out to Europe next." Mike answered her question.
"You're not gonna wait till these nut jobs are caught?" Carissa asked.
"We don't really know if it's real our not so, no." Billie said.
"Well I hope the whole thing gets settled out before long. That can't be to comforting knowing someone out there wants all three of you dead." Holly added.
"Yeah it's not." Tre said.
"Why are they doing this?" Carissa asked.
"We don't really know." Mike answered.
The five of them chatted for a while longer. Suddenly Holly's cell phone went off. She took it out of her purse and checked the caller id. It was Kelley.
"Hm, Kelley might want to join us after all." Holly said. She placed the phone up to her ear. "Hello?"
"Holly! Holly you guys have to come back now!" Kelley screamed. The others could hear her voice from the cell phone.
"Kelley, calm down I can't understand what you're saying." Holly said. She put her free hand up to her ear to block out other noises.
"What's going on?" Billie asked. They all looked concerned.
"Kelley what's happening?" Holly asked trying to remain calm.
"Holly please come back now I just got a phone call from the front desk. They said these guys are here looking for Billie, Mike and Tre. The clerk said they knew we were with them. Please just come back!" Kelley screamed.
"Where are they?" Holly asked.
"Where's who?" Tre asked beside Holly. Holly took the phone away from her ear.
"She's saying some guys are at the motel looking for you. She said they knew we were with you guys." She repeated what Kelley had said.
"We should head back." Mike said. He started to get up.
"Wait, hold on." Holly said. She put the phone back up to her ear. "Kelley where are they now?"
There was a pause.
"Kelley?"
Nothing.
"We should go now." Tre said. He got up and the rest followed. Holly kept the phone up to her ear. Once they reached the door Kelley was heard screaming again.
"HOLLY! CARISSA, PLEASE COME BACK NOW!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. "NO!"
"Kelley!" Holly screamed she stopped dead in her tracks the second she left the diner.
"What?" Tre asked hurriedly. "What happened?"
"I don't know. I think something happened." Holly said.
"Then lets go!" Carissa said.
The five ran back to the motel. Once they entered the lobby Tre ran up to the desk while the others ran towards the girl's room.
"Did you see any guys coming in here?" Tre asked the clerk behind the desk quickly.
"Yes there were two of them. They asked if three guys meeting your description were staying here. I told them yes and told them the room number... .." The clerk started but Tre ran away as soon as he heard the last of his sentence.
He caught up with the others right before they were going to enter the room. Carissa reached for her keys and tried to unlock the door.
"Oh my god." She said quietly.
"What?" Mike asked.
"It's unlocked." She answered.
"I'm up for it. Kelley, Carissa did you want to go?" Holly asked.
