Human Medicine, chapter 35
Not long after the toast, Tre led Jess to the dance floor, Billie followed with Jem. Tim Armstrong appeared on stage much to Billie's amusement. Tim announced that it was time for the first wedding dance.
As soon as the couples were in the middle of the empty dance floor they snaked their arms around each other, body pressed against body, the band broke out into their own version of "good riddance."
The couples moved so fluidly together as if they were literally one person. Billie Joe and Jem pressed their cheeks together, they danced so close that there was no room for any sign of a gap between their bodies, as if they were welded together.
When the dance came to an end, they brought their kids out onto the dance floor. Stella, Joey, Jakob, Greeny and Sara. With Sara in Billie's arms and Greeny in a baby carrier on Tre's chest. The 10 danced madly to the bands "I'm not okay" by My Chemical Romance.
There was also the father-daughter dance, in which Jem danced with Mike and Jess with her dad.
Dancing continued throughout the night, but there were breaks for things like cutting the cakes, throwing the bouquets, which Jem's auntie caught and Jesse's by Natalie, who was a last minute show to see Mike. By the wend of the night they were dancing almost nose to nose and Stella giggled at the sight.
Then finally the party due to a close.
Tre and Jess made a quick exit and were not seen after jumping in their limo.
Billie Joe and Jem stayed for the good-byes and thank you's before heading to their limo and heading off leaving Sara in the care of Jem's auntie with Jakob and Joey.
The pair decided to go not very far, so they headed for a posh hotel on the outskirts of Oakland, about 54 miles from the club in which their wedding reception took place.
As soon as the pair were in the elevator the touchy freely games started and the pair got quite excited. Once they were safe in their room, the usual activities on the Wedding night took place.
After several romps, in which the two acted like bunnies in spring time, the pair lay side by side, but naked and sweating, but happy and in love.
"Billie Joe?" Jem asked quietly and tentatively.
"Uhm" he murmured quietly back, turning his head to see her.
"I have a surprise for you" she smiled he'sitantly.
"Oh, I do too." Billie beamed.
Without further warning Billie lowered the quilt and Jem saw a tattoo across his heart, she stared at it not believing she hadn't seen it.
It was a love heart with a banner underneath saying "Jem is my reason for life."
"Oh my God, Billie Joe" Jem whispered, she ran her fingers over the ink and looked up at his glowing smile.
"What's your surprise then babe" he said grabbing Jem and moving her onto his body, lying on top of him.
"Well..." Jem tried to just let it blurt out, but it didn't come.
"Well," Billie asked again with raised eyebrows.
"I..." she tried again. The room was dark, but the bed was beside the window, which was lit up by the street below. Light shone across Billie Joe's face showing concern.
"Jem what is it? It's not a bad surprise is it?"
"I'm... I'm pregnant." Jem said looking down at the new tattoo.
