I Wanna Be the One Who Takes the Pain, chapter 8
"Katie I missed you so fucking much," Jess beamed and ran up to her best friend and had a dramatic hug moment.
"I know, that's cause you love me," she beamed back.
"Yah we were meant for each other weren't we," Jess joked.
"Oh yes," she winked and nudged her arm as Evan came up behind her and lifted her up and spun her around, causing her to scream out in surprise.
"Evan you dumbass!, you scared the shit out of me don't do that again," she grumbled as he put her down on her feet.
"Do what?... This?" Evan picked Katie up suddenly spinning her around again, with her yelling at him to put her down.
"If you don't stop she will unleash her rage upon you, and then we will have to find a new guitarist and as many people who would love to take your place we would have to find one that's not after Jess' pants all the time," Ian said joining the mini reunion.
Evan put Katie down and she gave him a steady glare but lightened up when Matt came up and gave her a smile and hello. "So what is the plan today?" Katie asked
"We take you to a bar buy you drinks and get drunk off our asses," Ian answered
"I like the sound of that."
"It's only 1 in the afternoon," Jess informed
"So what it's happy hour somewhere in the world," Evan suggested
"Let's go get the guys and go drinking," Matt said
"How about just the six of us?" Jessica suggested
"No freaking way I want to meet Green Day Jess you can't hog them to yourself."
"You can meet them on your own time I don't want them to come tonight," Jess replied
"Why not? Are they jerks or something?" Katie asked
"No they aren't and they can come. Jessica is just in a PMS mood, lets go get them they are awesome to party with," Matt said as he led Katie along with him and Ian followed after leaving Evan back standing with you.
"You want to stay at the hotel tonight? Or will you be okay?" he asked
"I'll be fine I don't want to ruin Katie's time out with us, I'll just have to suck it up drama aside," Jess looked down and shuffled her feet and began to head for the hotel entrance.

"That fucking bastard! Jess I'm so sorry. You know I always thought he was a dick, I can't believe he did that, in your hotel room and wait this one?"
"No, I think Tre switched my room, well someone did but that doesn't matter so you almost ready to go?"
"Yes, why would Tre switch your room?"
"I'm ready let's go"
"Jess tell me."
"Tell you what?"
"About Tre, you mentioned him coming to your rescue."
"There's nothing to tell, lets just go, they're probably waiting on us."
"Oh stop avoiding the damn question Jess and tell me what happened."
"Nothing happened, it meant nothing, can we go now?"
"What meant nothing?"
"For fuck sakes, don't you ever give up? I said nothing."
"No you said it meant nothing, meaning it was something."

"So tell."
"He took me back to his room. I cried a lot, we had sex, I woke up people in room, yadiyadayada, end of story. Ok let's go."
"So you had sex, was it good?"
"Oh go fuck him and find out for yourself."
"No he is your's. I wouldn't do that to you, you know that."
"Well I'm telling yah you can have him."
"Was he that bad in bed?"
"No, amazing, but besides the point we have to go, we can talk about this another time, we have six months."
"Ok fine let's go." Katie jumped off the bed and hopped towards the door
"Maybe tonight you and Matt can have your hot sex you have been dreaming about."
"What, I haven't."
"Just go to his room not this one."
"Ok if Matt comes up to me and is 'Katie I want your body' I will go have hot sex with him."
"In his room, I need a place to sleep."
"Ok I promise in his room."

Jess and Katie headed down to the elevator Jess saw a the familiar face of Tre Cool standing in front waiting for it as they approached. "Hey, I'm Katie, Jess' best friend in the world, we must be introduced."
"Hi." He looked at Jess and shook Katie's hand at the same time but Jess just looked away and avoided further eye contact with him.
"So how is the tour going for you guys so far?" Katie started up a conversation with him as the three got on the open elevator.
"Oh it's been going great partying, drinking, partying, playing shows, drinking, it's a very hectic schedule we have," he answered.
"Yah sure sounds like it, so do you know where we are going?"
"Some club, they make good drinks there, and its just down the street from here. We are walking there."
"Oh sounds awesome." There was a voiceless pause as the only noise was of the elevator music the rest of the way down. When the doors opened Jess rushed out looking for her band mates only to walk straight into Mike Dirnt.
"Oh I'm sorry Mike I wasn't paying much attention, was looking for the guys," Jess apologized and tried to walk off before he answered.
"It's ok." Mike grabbed her arm lightly to stop her from running off. "I'm sorry Jess, it was all my fault you know, about the bet. It was stupid, I kinda edged him on. He never turns down a bet you know, I just want you to know and I hope you don't hate me for it, or Tre for that matter."
"Listen Mike what you guys did yah I'm pissed about it that you forgot I was a person just because you didn't know me, and just forget about it. I'm not really that pissed off at you, you shouldn't apologize just because you lost whatever the price of me was. Okay drop it, forgotten. I'm going to find the guys now, bye."
"No it's not forgotten and I didn't lose, and you weren't priced, guys are dicks we all know it and we make to many damn mistakes for our own good. I want you to accept my apology please. We honestly never meant anything by it okay, you have to understand that as well."
"Whatever Mike I have to -"
"Hey Jess there you are." Evan ran up and gave Jess a slap on the back. "We were outside waiting for you guys, you coming?"
"Yah we were just on our way out, where's Katie and Tre?"
"I'm here, Katie just went up to the room. She forgot something."
"Ok I'll just wait here for her," Jess said as she sat on a couch in the hotel lobby.
"Ok we'll be outside," Evan said walking towards the exit with Mike following, but Tre headed over to sit beside Jessica.
"Jess?" he asked as he sat down.
"What do you want Tre?"
"Please will you forgive me? I've told you I'm sorry so many times I don't know what else to do, please just forgive me I'll do anything."
"How about go away Tre."
"Not unless you forgive me."
"Why should I?"
"Because I know how much of a mistake it was, the stupidest thing I've ever done and I'm admitting it and I, I want to be with you and for that to happen I need you to forgive me."

"Its not, it's the truth, it really is why can't you just -"
"Just what throw myself on you and be 'oh Tre I love you, oh lets go have endless hours of hot sex oh Tre I worship you'. Well I'm sorry I'm not like that."
"I'm not asking for that. I just want you to forgive and forget my shitty mistake that I made so then I can make everything up to you because I want to."
"Well go ahead and try to make it up to me Tre, I'm sure it will be interesting," Jess said as she got up and walk over to Katie who was getting off the elevator followed by Matt.
"What happened to your hair Katie, did you get ruffed up by Matt?" Jess whispered.
"Oh shut up, we just uh made out a bit, and he uh asked me to go out with him."
"Dr. Love wins again."
"I said shut-up." Jess just stuck out her tongue and skipped ahead as Matt walked beside Katie and put his arm around her waist.
"Finally what took you so long?"
"Katie and Matt were busy." Katie blushed and put her hands over her face as they all began to walk down to the club. Jess and Katie skipped ahead singing the time warp and trying to do the actions while walking but almost fell over five times before they gave up. They were almost to the club when a store across the street caught Tre's eye and he stopped.
"Hey you coming Tre?" Billie Joe turned and asked.
"Uh yah I was just looking at something," he answered and jogged a bit to catch up with the rest.
"I know, that's cause you love me," she beamed back.
