Billie's Forgotten Daughter, chapter 8

"Billie," Adrienne whispered, "She... she did this... she... where is she?..."

"Where is who?" Billie gently stroked her cheek. "Where is who?" he asked again. But there was no reply. Adrienne's heart rate monitor began racing. "Oh no! No, Adrienne please, no!" Billie started panicking again. "Someone help! Help please!" Billie began sobbing just as some nurses came in and rushed Adrienne to the emergency room. Billie stayed in the room and cried.

"She's back... " Alexis stirred. Billie looked up startled. He had forgotten that she was in the room. He walked over to her bed side.

"Who's... who's back?" Billie asked trying to hold back the tears.

"She came... to us while we were in the car... made us wreck," Alexis mumbled.

"Who? Who is she?"

"She wants me... back. She wants me home."

"Who Alexis? Who are you talking about?"

"Mom. Lily." Billie didn't know how to respond to what she said.

"That's impossible!" But Alexis said nothing. Billie walked out of the room. He couldn't bear to be in the hospital anymore, even with Adrienne in the ER.
