An Everlasting Friendship And Undying Love, chapter 9

"Is she going to be okay?" Kimber drove Tre, Mike, Janice and Kati to her house and brought Kati inside. Tre was still examining Janice's blue-black Billie gave her. Mike rested Kati on the sofa and Kimber went to get towels and the first-aid box.

"I guess... She's still breathing."

Mike brushed Kati's hair out of her face as he watched her breath.

"What do you think happened?" Tre hugged and comforted Janice while talking to Mike.

"I have no idea. He always likes to hurt her. The poor girl..."

"Okay! Here's the first-aid and towels!" Kimber came out form the storeroom and into the living room. Tre helped Janice out of the kitchen to the living room. Kimber used the towels to clean up Kati while Tre and Mike helped Janice with her blue-black.

"I think Kati should stay over." Kimber sighed and got up with the towel at hand as she turned to face the other three.

"Yeah. It'll be better if she did. She's out like a light anyways."

"Sure. No, prob Kimmy." Tre helped Janice put the ice cubes on the blue-black. Mike took the towel into the laundry room and dumped them in the basket.

"I guess we'll be leaving now. It's getting late."

"Okay. Bye Mike. Bye Tre."

"Bye Jan. We'll come by tomorrow to see how both of you are doing." Mike opened the door as Tre spoke.

"Thanks." Janice gave Tre a small smile that made his stomach do flip-flops.

"Bye guys. Thanks again for helping my sister and Kati." Kimber waved at the departing boy's and helped her younger sister off the chair.

Outside Janice's house

"Well?" Tre broke the silence with a grin on his face. Making Mike feel a tad uneasy.

"Well what?" Mike raised his eyebrows. 'What's Tre up to?' he thought to himself.

"Do you like her?" Tre came closer to Mike and wriggled his eyebrows.

"Who?" Mike pushed Tre away. He didn't like Tre TOO close to him.

"Kati Carter."

"No," he just answered simply like nothing was wrong. But, knowing Tre...

"Aww... c'mon!" Tre nudged Mike

"What?! You like Janice!" Mike nudged back.

"So what if I do? YOU like Kati!" Tre pushed him this time

"Do not!" Mike countered.

"Do too!" Tre pushed him again.

"Not!" And Mike countered.

"Too!" And again.

"Not!" And again.

"Too! Too! Too! Too! TOO!" and with that, Tre shoved Mike and sent him stumbling to the ground.

"Aw SHUT UP ALREADY!"

"Nye Nye. I win." Tre stuck his tongue out at him. Mike just glared at him.

"Whatever, Tre. What are we gonna say to Billie?"

"Huh? We're supposed to say something?"

"YES! Ask him WHY did he do what he did to Kati!"

"Oh yeah... well, I'll follow you."

"Ok... come on I'll stay with him remember? Let's go wait for him."

Meanwhile

Billie was making his way home, walking and laughing at the same time.

"It's her! It's been her all this time and I didn't fucking know! Hahaha! It's Kati! It's always been Kati! Hahaha!" Looking very much drunk, everyone he went by stared at him murmuring and swaying.

Billie didn't drink, he was just.... too caught up with his thoughts he started talking to himself. He went to the park and sat down on the nearest bench. Being overly happy and all, Billie fell asleep on the bench...

Billie woke up and found himself lying on the groundless floor of white-ness. 'I'm seeing her again...' And that's what Billie saw. He saw the girl of his dreams. But something was different now. She wasn't going to him. She was going to something else... Another figure in the distance...

Mike.
