Mislead Accusations, chapter 2
‘Oh Mike, hi’, Tre said, timidly. Mike looked down at both Tre and Billie sitting next to eachother, both in a shocked and scared state.
‘So, you guys gonna tell me what’s wrong?’, Mike asked them both.
‘Oh nothings wrong’, Billie blurted out, ‘We we’re just talking about the party tonight’.
‘Yeah the party’, Tre said as convincingly as he could. Mike stared at both of them.
‘Okay what ever you two say’, he said opening his locker door. The three of them stayed in the shower rooms, and talked a little longer.
‘How long have you boys been in here for?’, growled a voice. They turned around and saw their Gym teacher looking down at them.
‘Ahh......’, Billie managed to get out. The teacher looked down at him, trying to scare an answer out. Billie said nothing and just stared up. He could see the whistle shinning against everything in the room, and the stench of sweat came off him like nothing Billie had ever smelt before.
‘Well then I guess, you might be able to remember how long, when you spend a trip in detention’, the gym teacher said, before staring the other two boys down, before walking off to the rest of the class.
‘No way detention’, Billie let out, throwing him on to the lockers. He slid down and put his head into he’s hands.
‘Billie man, come on, cheer up its only detention, we’ll even wait for you if you want us to’, Mike told his friend, rubbing his shoulder.
‘Yeah thanks guys’, Billie said, before the three of them got them selves ready before any of them got into trouble again.
-An Hour Later after Detention-
‘Another detention over, just great’, Billie-Joe thought, as he walked out detention in room, 501. He flicked his bag to his front, and opened up the first zip, causing all this things from that pocket to fall out onto the ground. ‘Just great’, he thought again. He knelt down and started to pick up what he had dropped and put it back in his bag.
‘Here, your forgetting this’, a voice said to him. He looked across at the floor, and noticed a pair of black and white converse shoes infront of him. The voice he had heard sounded familiar.
‘Up here’, the voice said again. Billie gulped nervously and looked up. There was a girl standing infront of him. No wonder the voice sounded familiar, it was the one of Mike’s sisters.
‘Ahh, thanks Steph’, he said nervously taking the pick from her hand and standing up.
‘So you still play?’, she asked him, trying to start conversation. Billie was lost for words. This was the first time they had spoken to eachother in the school grounds. Usually, it was just the mutual conversation, they had when he was over at Mike’s place and he just *happened* to bump into her, but since there wasn’t really anyone around he could understand why. Steph didn’t like the idea, of people associating her with Mike, since he was talented in everything and she preferred to have her fun.
‘Ah yeah, I still play. How about you?’, he asked timidly. She smiled and her eyes brightened.
‘Ah, yeah I still drum now and then, you know. The bands still around if you were wondering’, she told him.
‘That’s sweet’, he said becoming a little less shakey.
‘I should come down and see you guys some day. Mike keeps telling me to, but with school and social life and everything, I don’t really fit it in’, she told him. He smiled at her, and she smiled back shyly.
‘Yeah, you can come down and check me out, I.. I mean the band out, I mean I’ll be there’, he blurted out, not really making any sense. ‘Oh great just stuffed up’, he thought to himself. Steph looked up at him though her dark brown eyes, and started smiling.
‘Yeah, it’d be cool. So you coming to the party tonight?’, she asked.
‘Of course I am’, he replied, still trying to look into her eyes. She looked up slowly, letting him get what he wanted. He lost himself in them for a while, as they continued speaking. Steph noticed the janitor starting to clean the hall and figured they must have been talking for a while.
‘I should go, its getting kinda late. I’ll see you tonight then?’, she asked again, sweetly.
‘Yeah you’ll see me’, he replied. She smiled sweetly again and waved good by as she walked away, down the hall and around the corner, not to be seen. Billie kept his eye’s on her the whole time.
‘I guess, I didn’t need to talk to her for you then’, Mike said, coming around from behind the vending machine where he and Tre had hid and watched the two talk.
‘What, ah yeah, I guess not’, Billie said nervously rubbing the back of his neck.
‘So you gonna talk to her again?’, Mike asked.
‘Ah yeah I might’, Billie answered him. He noticed a look on Tre’s face. He looked somewhat, depressed, with what Billie had told them.
‘Well I guess I’ll see you guys later then’, Billie said, cutting the conversation to a close.
‘Yeah’, muttered Tre, quietly under his breath. He kept his eyes to the ground and walked away.
‘Is he alright?’, Mike asked, ‘He’s kinda been acting strangely’.
‘Yeah he’s fine. I’ll see you tonight’, Billie asked.
‘Yeah, see ya Bill’, Mike said, walking off. On his way home, Billie thought about what had happened earlier in the day. He kept thinking back to the moment Tre and he had shared.
‘I wonder if it was for a reason’, he kept thinking, but the only thing that he ended up coming to was that, Tre was probably just messing around. He had to stop thinking about this….
-Later at the Party-
It was almost night when Billie had finally arrived. The sky had turned dark and he had gone though enough stuff to already get here. He walked up to the door and waited for a moment. ‘Maybe this wasn’t right? Maybe this wasn’t the time he should tell Steph his feelings’, he thought.
He pushed back his hair and fixed his collar but before he could knock on the door, it opened in front of him…
‘So, you guys gonna tell me what’s wrong?’, Mike asked them both.
