Something In The Air That Night, chapter 3

Jax's P. O. V.

"Mom! I'm home!" I yelled when I got through the door. No answer. I shrugged and wen't in to the kitchen for something to eat. There was a note on the table.

JACKIE-GONE OUT FOR THE NIGHT. BE BACK LATER. DON'T DO ANYTHING STUPID.

"Yeah right she will be back tonight!" I shouted. "I'm gonna go over to Tre's. Wait-why I am I talking to myself?" I chuckled and wen't back to Tre's.

Tre's P. O. V.

"Yeah hold your fucking horses!" I shouted at the door. "I just got out of the fucking shower!" I opened it and Jax was there smiling-again. "Wow you like to say 'hold your fucking horses' don't you?" she said laughing. I smiled and she pushed her way insde to the couch. "So... Whats up?" I asked casually as I sat on the couch beside her. "Oh well my mom left me a note saying she was out for the night and she'll be back tonight but she never is, so I was wondering if I could hang here for a bit." she said. "Yeah! That would be great!" I said a little too enthusiastically. "So why doesn't your mom come back at night?" I asked curiously. "Well ever since my dad died from, um, cutting himself when I was ten, my mom goes out basically every night, gets smashed and smokes stuff I've never even heard of then she'll sleep with some guy she doesn't know and come back in the morning with a hangover and I always have to take care of her." Jax said fastly. Fuck. Poor girl. What she did next was unexpected. She started crying. Damn. I don't know how to deal with crying girls. I got up and left the room.

Jax's P. O. V.

Dammit Jax! Stop crying! Tre doesn't want to deal with your problems. Great, now he even left. He's probaly gonna call the cops on you. Just then Tre walked back through the door with something in his hands. "I'm sorry Tre. I will go." I said meaningfully. "What the hell? Don't go!" he said as he pushed me down on the couch. I looked at him quizzically. "What do you have in your hands?" I asked him. He looked at the objects and showed the first one to me. It was Austin Powers:Goldmember. He bounded energetically to the DVD player and put it in. Then he showed me the next three things... A tub of chocolate chip ice cream and two metal spoons. "I think this is what you do when a girl is sad." he said to me. I laughed as he sat down on the couch and put the icecream between us. We watched the movie and laughed many times. Wow, he really knows how to make someone feel good. I thought. Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep on the couch to the sounds of Austin saying 'grr baby, very grr. '
