Something In The Air That Night, chapter 7

Jax's POV

"Hey Jax, wake up babe." Jax heard someone say to her. Where was she? Oh yeah, in Tre's house. Why was she there? Oh yeah, her mom kicked her out. Did they do anything last night? Oh no they didn't. Jax turned over and Tre was there smiling toothily. "Have a good sleep?" he asked her. "Oh yes. Thanks for letting me stay the night. I don't know where I'm gonna live though." I said. "Well, you can live here of course!" I said cheerily. Jax smiled but it quickly dissapeared. "Umm.. I don't think I should. My mom might try to hurt me again. Or get somebody else to." I said nervously.

Tre's POV.

Oh shit. She's right. She needs to get out of here. Quickly. "Umm.. Jax, lets go to BillieJoe's house. I said to her. "What!? Right now?!" she asked. "Yeah. C'mon I'll come with you." I said. Jax took her duffel bag and we walked out of the door to my mom's old Honda. I opened the door for her and we both got inside. I drove to BillieJoe's house. We got out of the car and wen't up the stairs and knocked on the door. By this time it was about noon. BJ answered. "Heya Tre! Heya Jax!" he said. "Hey." "Hey."

Jax's POV.

We wen't inside BJ's small house. His mother came in the room. "Hey Frank!" she said cheerfully. "I see you brought a friend." she said smiling at me. "Oh yeah, this is Jax." said Tre. "Nice to meet you Jax. I'm BillieJoe's mother. You can call me Ollie." she said and hugged me. Wow. She was very nice. I wish my mom was as nice as her. "Well, I'm off to work. Have fun kids!" said Ollie and she walked out the front door. "Your mom's really nice." I said to BJ. "Yeah. She is. Thanks." he answered. "So what brings you two here?" asked BJ as we wen't into the kitchen and got beer. Tre looked at me and I nodded. "Well," Tre started but was interrupted by the shrill sound of the doorbell. BJ got up to answer it. And a few seconds later he came back with Mike in tow. "Hiya Mike." I said. "Hey Jax." he answered. "Okay, so what were ya gonna tell me?" asked BJ. Tre stated again. He told everything I told him. About how my mom kicked me out, how she hit me, and how I wne't over to Tre's and needed somewhere to stay. When Tre finally finished I could see the guilt, anger, and pity in Mike and BJ's blue and green eyes. "Jax... I'm really sorry." said BJ. "Yeah me too." said Mike. I smiled and nodded at them thankfully. "Well you can stay here." said BJ. "Really? I asked hopeful. "Yaya. Of course." he answered. Wow. Never did I think I would have great friends like these. BJ's actually letting me stay in his house! Maybe my life isn't going to be so tough after all...
