The Day I Thought My Life Was Complete... But What I found Out It had Only Just Begun, chapter 1
I was new to California. I had just moved here from Australia. It was just a week until I started high school. I wasn't happy, but I wasn't nervous or scared either. Finally, no more wearing uniforms. No more sitting and eating lunch with the same sex. No more having to date people your parents picked out for you. I was free. I walked outside and sat down on the porch of our new three story mansion. It was about 4 pm and it was sunny and just the perfect temperature. Not too hot, not too cold, but just right.
I heard some people coming and I sorta freaked. People were always laughing and making comments about me because I didn't sound like them, but I didn't care. I had confidence. I don't care what people say about me anymore. I am only human after all. As they got closer, I could see what they looked like better. One had jet black hair and green eyes. Another one had blonde hair that looked like it was light brown and blue eyes. And the last one had medium brown hair and blue eyes. I then let down my black hair and took off my sunglasses to reveal my hazel eyes. The green eyed boy looked at me and smiled. I froze but managed to smile back. Then hea stopped and so did the other two. "Hi, you must be new around here. I'm Billie Joe Armstrong. This is Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool," he said as he pointed to the others. "Yea. I'm new here. Nice to meet you all. I'm Ciarra D'Agastino." "I just gotta know something real quick. What are the schools like where you are from?" Tre asked. "Well, you have to where uniforms and you have to sit at the table at lunch with the same sex. And the dating part, your parents pick who you go out with. Not you." "Wow. That's harsh. Couldn't live with it." Then I laughed to myself. "You wanna come to the movies with us. And then maybe go play some paint ball?" "Yea. Just let me go get some stuff and let my mom know where I am going." "Alright."
*Billie Joe's POV*
I really didn't think that Australian girls were so cute. But she was beautiful. I really got to get hooked up with her. Get to know her more. I just hope she likes me.
*My POV*
I was in my room applying my eyeliner and looking for a shirt to where. And Billie Joe. His eyes. Oh my gosh! His eyes were just amazingly beautiful. Green and looked so full of life. I didn't think that American boys were so cute. But I was wrong. He was just so.. I can't explain it. He is... in simple terms... hot! I really hope he likes me.
*10 minutes later*
I walk downstairs to the kitchen and ask my mum, "Mum can I borrow some money?" "For what?" she asked. "I am going to the movies with some new friends and then we are going to play paint ball." "Alright. Here is $50.00. Be good and don't hang out with any boys. You don't what they're like. And be back by 7." "Ok. Thanks mum," I said as I walked toward the door. I opened the door and the three boys were arguing about something. "What are guys having a hissy rattle snake fight about?" I asked as I closed the door behind me. "Oh, nothing. Typical us thing really." Billie Joe said as he smiled. I smiled back and started walking down the stairs. I then step on something and start falling forward. Billie Joe plunged forward and caught me just in time. "Thanks. If it weren't for you I would have gotten--" but stopped when our eyes met. His eyes were just too beautiful. He helped me stand straight again and our eyes never looked away.
A couple seconds later Tre broke in. "Ok you love birds. We gotta go. Or we'll miss the 4:45 show." "Huh? Oh. Yea. We better head to the theatre." Billie Joe said as he walked over to Tre and Mike. I walk over to the three of them. "Billie When I fell back there and you caught me, what happened?" "I think we fell in love or something." Then I grabbed his hand and we walked the rest of the way to the movies hand in hand.
*5 minutes later*
We arrived at the movie theatre and walked over to the candy counter. Tre ordered. "Uh. Can we have 2 large popcorns. One extra large popcorn and 4 cokes." "Coming right up." We got our order and Tre handed Mike a large popcorn and a coke. Then handed Billie Joe the extra large and a coke. He also handed me a coke. "That'll be $14.50," said the candy man. Tre handed him the money and grabbed his stuff. Mike bought the tickets. "Hope you like horror movies Ciarra." "I love horror moives." "Awesome."
*2 hours later*
*Billie Joe. That movie was awesome," I said as I finished my soda and threw it away. "Yea that movie was awesome," he said as he grabbed my hand. About 5 minutes later it started to rain. "Fuck! The damn weather man said it was supposed to be sunny today.!" Billie Joe yelled as he pullrd his jacket over his head. I then reached in my bag and pulled out a large umbrella and told everybody to get under. "Thanks. you saved us from getting sick." "Anytime."
We dropped off Mike and said bye. Then we dropped off Tre. Then Billie Joe asked if he could stay at my house until the rain stopped. I said sure. I walked in and asked if he wanted to come up to my room for a while. "Yea. Sure." We walked up to my room and I found a note on my door. It read:
'Dear Ciarra, went shopping for school supplies. Be back later. Love mum.'
"Well, it looks like we're gonna be alone for a while since my mum takes forever shopping." "That's alright. More time for us to be alone together," he said as he leaned in to kiss me. I stepped aside quickly. "What? What is it?" he asked. "It's just.. my mum would be pissed if I kissed a guy and I don't want her to get mad." "She's ot here. She'll never know," he said assuringly. "Ok. I guess you're right." Then he leaned in again and we kissed. I just about fainted.
