A Dream Come True (Longer version), chapter 6
The next few days, I won't bore you with, mostly because they were boring and I don't want to make you suffer entirely. But we did have a four-day weekend, or we were supposed to anyways...
I lay awake in bed Tuesday morning. I had asked Mom the night before to get me up when she does so I could straighten my hair, so I wouldn't get mobbed again, which is very fun. I was about to go back to sleep when Dad walked in, "Hey, do you have anything going on today? Like any quizzes or something?" he asked.
"Not that I know of..." I yawned.
"Not that you know of..." He repeated, "Well, would you do me the favor of staying here and waiting for my package?" he asked.
I smiled, "If you insist," I said.
"Since when do you wear nightgowns?" he asked.
"Thought I'd give that normal thing a try," I said.
"With wristbands?" he asked.
"Well, easy come, easy go," I answered, smiling.
"Oh, how's your bruise? Any better?" he asked.
Saturday night, Mom and Dad went out to go see a movie, leaving me to my abusive siblings. Lesson learned, never annoy Blaine. You'll end up getting crushed with him sitting on you and having Moira sit on your face. Then, in an attempt to free yourself, you'll end up banging you head against his knee, making a loud and painful noise. Then later having Moira kick and punch you right below the eye, where the bruise is soon to lie.
I nodded and yawned, dropping the hint for him to let me go back to sleep. Then he left, "Thank you," was his last words.
About half an hour later, I woke up and changed into some real clothes, then went downstairs. It was still too early to watch something on Fuse, so I played Mario Golf. Moira just had to have another game, but she isn't really all that good at the game, so she doesn't like it very much. But, I can't talk much since I'm not so hot myself. But it's still fun to play with Dad and Blaine.
Finally, when it was twelve and I had had enough of golf. I turned the TV to Fuse. That Panic! At The Disco music video came on. It was my only my second time actually watching it, but I thank the good Lord that we had TiVo now. I have to admit, it has got to be one of my favorite music videos now. I spent the next hour just rewinding and watching it.
Dad called, "Did it come yet?" he asked.
"Nope, I told you I'd call you when it came..." I said.
"Oh... Well, it's almost time to get Moira from the bus stop, try not to forget, will ya?" he said.
"Would I ever forget anything?" I said, smiling.
"Yes," he said.
"Thanks..." I said, rolling my eyes, "Well, bye!!" I said and hung up, playing the music video once again.
