The Talent Contest, chapter 1

Emma opened her eyes to the sound of her alarm clock ringing. The first thought that ran into her head"School!" Then she remembered that her band was the main act in the talent contest! So she leaped from her bed and dressed in her jeans and a tee,ate and waited for the bus.

Of course her and her semi friend didn't talk again so she sat there reading "Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix" until they arrived at school.

"Great, I get to go see my class of fakes." Emma said quietly to her self. In the cafeteria *this is where they waited to go to their homerooms* everyone was talking and screaming about the talent contest.

Emma's lead bass player Pat came up to her and told her the good news:
"Did you hear what the prize is?..Well did ya?"
"Calm down before you give yourself a heart attack! And no i didn't hear. Tell me!
"Green Day!"
"Ok. We get Green Day if we Win? Sounds really weird if you ask me, I mean-
"Oh My God! We get to meet them, not own them!"
"Oh, ok, see now I get it."
Just then the bell rang to go to homeroom, and at that very moment the rest of Emma's band showed up.
*Ok, here is Emma's band and their positions: Emma:Lead Vocals Pat:Lead Bass player/Backup Vocals; Dan:Lead Guitar and Kim: drums/backup vocals.*
The first 2 periods went by fast considering it was English and Music Emma's favorite subjects. Then it came time for the Talent Contest...
