Billie's Dreams, chapter 4

Lara and the boys got into the car.
Mike was so happy that they had found Lara, for Billie's sake (to find the boys and Adie) and also for his.
Mike was single at the time, and secretly he liked what he saw. I mean who wouldn't? Flowing long black hair, pretty, funny... You know, but Mike liked her.
"Hey Lara?" He asked "How old are you?"
"18, in 2 days." She replied. "I know I look younger but hey, I cant help that."
"Oh cool." Mike said with a smile on his face. She wasn't much younger than him... Kind of. But ages didn't really matter to Mike anyway. There must have been a reason why they met Lara; I mean she can't have just met them for no reason at all. She was meant to help them. She was the one that gave them the idea of looking for the boys themselves instead of getting the police, I mean, how weird is that? Lara just turned up, she gave the boys a new idea and they followed it.
She wasn't there for nothing. Mike couldn't get over it. He had more than one emotion running through his head at the time. Sadness because of what was happening and then happiness because he had met this wonderful girl. Even though neither Mike nor Lara had realized it, Mike was falling for Lara, and secretly, Billie and Tre knew it was the other way round as well. But anyway...
Billie, Mike, Tre and Lara didn't know what to do next. Where would they go? And what could they do to help?
They stopped the car at the side of the road to think.
"Hey, I have signal," He called to his friends, "I'm gonna try and ring Adie, maybe she can tell us where she is, if she has her cell."
Billie got out his phone and tried to call Adie.
Someone picked up.
"Hello?" It was a mans voice.
"Oh god! Thank god you are alive!" Billie paused.... "Oh shit! Who is this?" Billie asked.
"I am not going to tell you. I have your wife and kids Mr Armstrong and I am not returning them until I get you to come personally to my house and do what I ask." The voice said. Billie put it on loudspeaker so everyone could hear this voice. They all looked shocked.
"And that would be...?"
"And that would be telling."
"Well, anything for my wife and kids." Billie said acting brave, he didn't know what was going to happen. "Where do you live?"
"You'll find out soon enough, Mr Armstrong."
"Who the hell are you? And tell me the fuck where you are, NOW!" Billie Joe said, angry for his wife and kids.
"Keep your hair on, you'll get them back don't you worry!" This voice said, happily for an unknown reason.
"Yes, I know I will! What do you want from me?"
"You'll see." The voice said. The phone was put down.
"Hello? Hello?" Billie said. "Shit."
"Well we aren't going to get anywhere just sitting on the side of the road in our car. Lets go, we will find them." Tre said.
"What makes you so sure? Hey... See you don't know!" Billie said.
"I do know, I promise. We will find them."
Billie started the car and they began to drive along the dirty road. Billie turned on the radio. Their song 'Boulevard of broken dreams' was playing.
This put a smile to the boys faces but they all still had tears in their eyes.
"Don't worry Bill. Everything is going to be fine man." Mike said.
"I bloody well hope so."

The same questions were running through Billie's head. Why would anyone ever do this? Where were they? Billie could never know when the answers to these questions would ever, ever be answered. Meanwhile, the girl in the car hadn't said anything for a while.
Lara was sitting in the corner of her chair, hugging her knees and curling her hair around her fingers. She looked cold and she was shivering a bit. Billie and the boys hadn't seen her like this, even though they hadn't seen much of what she usually acts like, they new this wasn't normal. Mike was most worried.

"Lara are you okay?" He asked. She turned around and said,
"Um... Yeah." She turned back around.
"You sure?" He asked back to her. She nodded.
Mike hoped she was. Lara still hadn't got over the phone call.
"I bet its some creepy wacko guy. He's mental to do this to you." Lara said. She had a worried look on her face and she had gone white.
"Lara, are you sure you are okay?" Mike asked. "You're as white as a sheet."
"Yeah I'm fine" she replied but you could see she was scared for Adie and the boys. "Well duh she cares. Corse she's worried." Tre said. Lara turned around and looked a little upset.
"I am not! I'm not worried at all! Look. All we need is hope and we'll get where we need to be. We are gonna do this without anyone's help. Now cheer up guys. Believe in yourself and then everything is going to be fine. There'll be another less tear in the world that way." Lara said, a tear in her eye. She cuddled into Mike who was sitting next to her. "Sorry, I get a little worked up when I'm angry."
Mike smiled. He was happy that she had cuddled him. He wouldn't think she was a cuddly person, but she was. She was the loveliest girl you could ever imagine for Mike. This was just like a dream.
"Its okay, you're right. We are going to do this."
