Billie's Dreams, chapter 5
Billie, Tre, Mike and Lara carried on driving for a few hours until it got dark. They didn't know where they were going and thought it was safe to stop for the night.
Billie checked his phone to see if there was anything on there from Adie. Funnily enough there was. The message read:
You are going in the right direction. Keep going.
Billie showed the guys and they didn't know whether to believe it or not because it might be leading them in the wrong direction as a lie. No one knew the truth.
"Do you think we should believe it?" Asked Tre. Nobody was sure.
"Lets just carry on the way we are gong, we'll soon find out if the message is telling the truth or not." Mike said.
Billie was sat in the front of the car with Tre and Mike and Lara sat in the back. They were all going to switch positions the next day, but neither Mike nor Lara wanted to. They were happy where they were. Secretly. Secretly very happy.
Tre and Billie soon fell asleep and that left Mike and Lara awake.
"Hey you awake?" Asked Lara.
"Yeah, cant sleep, can you?"
"Yeah." Lara said.
"Then how come you aren't sleeping?" Asked Mike.
"I'd prefer to lie awake here looking at you." Lara said with a smile.
"Ditto." Mike said back with a little smile.
"Well, were gonna be tired tomorrow if one of us is driving. Night." Lara said.
"Yeah, night." Mike said leaning over and giving Lara a little kiss on the forehead.
"Thanks for that." Lara said, lying down and snuggling into Mike.
"Anytime babe."
Mike was happy. Lara was happy. What else could go wrong? A lot.
It was about 6 AM and starting to get light. No one was awake when all of a sudden Billie awoke sweating again.
"Mike... Mike... "
"Yeah?" Said Mike with rosy cheeks.
"I had another dream."
"Oh shit, are you okay?" Mike asked. "What was it about?
"Not really. And it was different to the other one. We were driving. Like three hours later we came to this house. We all went in and then we saw Adrienne and the boys. They were running towards us and acting like nothing had happened. Then this black figure appeared and took me. It was slower than that though and in more detail. He took me and that was when I woke up."
"Shoot."
"Well, you know what that means don't you?"
"Its gonna happen isn't it?"
"No one knows. But I guess we will find out."
"Okay man, well don't you worry everything is gonna be fine and I know it."
"Thanks man." I'm gonna try to go back to sleep.
"Me too, if you have another dream just wake me up yeah." Mike said.
"Yeah thanks dude."
Billie and Mike both fell back to sleep, as they needed it for the long day ahead of them. Billie didn't care too much about the dream this time because, even though it would probably come true. They had got to the house and rescued the boys and his beautiful wife, just he had got taken, and that was the only bit he was concerned about. Well, at leased he had told Mike and they could do something about it. They could stop it from happening, get the kids and Adie and go, without Billie getting taken.
Billie had another dream and woke up again. But this time it was a good dream. He thought anyway. It was about 8 o'clock in the morning so they had to get up anyway, so he woke Mike, Tre and Lara.
"Hey Mike? Can I talk to you privately for a sec?"
"Yeah man hold on." Mike replied.
They both got out the car and stood at the side of the road.
"It was another dream man." He said. "But this time it was about you, and it was a good one."
"Really? Shoot man I'm ready for it."
"Well, Do you like Lara?" He asked. "I mean... Like like?"
"She's pretty hot, don't you think?"
"Well, I cant really say, for an eighteen year old yeah, but I have a wife thanks, she's all yours!"
"Tell me bout that dream then Billie!"
"Okay, well you... Kissed. Not a peck, you know. A kiss."
"Really?"
"Yaha! And my dreams do usually come true don't they?"
"Yeah Billie thanks!"
"It's okay." Billie said. Lara called from the car,
"Come on boys we better get going."
They called back to her and got into the car. They set off and explained to Lara and Tre about his 1st dream, but Mike was pretty sure they'd find about the 2nd dream pretty soon, well Lara anyway.
"I have a feeling this is going to be a long day." Said Billie with a smile.
"Yup." Said Mike.
