Billie Joe and Adie...A Bond That Will Rock On Forever!, chapter 14

Adie bit her lip. A little tear ran down Billie Joe's cheek.
"This isn't going to work is it?" sniffed Adie as she looked at her feet. Billie remained silent but shook his head a little.
"I love you babe, and I don't think I'm ever gonna love another woman the way I loved you, but it isn't gonna work" said Billie. Adie forced a little smile through her tears.
"Bill, don't feel guilty for me, whenever I'm away from you I'm sad, and I'm always away from you, we have two different lives in two different place's." Sighed Adie, stroking his cheek.
"Yeah. When we first decided this phone thing I kinda knew it wouldn't work." agreed Billie. He lay down on the bed, flat on his back and searched around in his pocket for a joint.
Adie stood there and sighed, "But we're still gonna call each other, right? I mean just because we're gonna have different relationships doesn't mean we can't be friends who talk?" That had never occurred to Billie, he couldn't imagine Adie with another man.

Billie listened to her and sat up, he took one last hit from the joint then stubbed it out in an ashtray. He looked at Adie's eyes, he had never realized how brown and deep they were, she wasn't one of those girls who always plastered themselves in eyeliner, she was naturally beautiful. He patted the bed next to him and she came over and sat down close to him. Am I doing the right thing? he thought to himself This girl is amazing, why the fuck am I letting her go? But then he realized that he was doing the right thing.
He Hugged her tightly
"And you'll still come visit when you can???" He asked smiling, putting on a voice like an old lady .
"Duhhhh!!" Laughed Adie, swinging her feet. Adie stood up and took a breath, walking over to her case and fastening it up. She turned around looking a bit perplexed.
"Umm, a bit of a random thing to say but.... This was the easiest break up I've ever had. There's no screaming" She said to Billie who was laying on his back and staring up at the grey, stained ceiling. He gave out a grunt of laughter and sprang himself up on to his feet, the room was filled with smoke and other unusual odor's, Tre had boycotted showering for a month as a dare. At that moment they saw a taxi pull up above, on the street. The basement they lived in was underground so they had tiny peep windows that were only useful for spying on peoples feet.
"I guess thats my ride." smiled Adie.
"Ummmm... Yup!!!" replied Billie. The atmosphere was quiet and uncomfortable, the taxi honked its horn for a second time. Adie suddenly flung herself at Billie and hung onto his shoulders. He squeezed her tight
"Bye, Adrienne, I'll miss you."
Adie kissed him quickly on the lips and hopped inside the taxi, and that's the last memory Billie had of her, riding off in a taxi.

He sat there for a bit in the lonely apartment and thought about how they had first met... He thought back to the picture and the phone call's, he laughed a bit, Adie had been taking a sexual relationships course at collage and they had basically talked about that on the phone.. He had been talking about sex to a girl he had the hots for, it was just so weird when he thought about it.,
"YOU'RE GONNA CALL HER, YOU'RE GONNA CALL HER" he said bitterly to himself. At that moment Mike walked in with his hand around his Girlfriend, Anastasia, when he noticed Billie was talking to himself he looked at him strangely.
"Ummm, was that Adie in the taxi just now???" he asked uncomfortably.
"Yeah."
"You ready for the tour tomorrow???" Jumped Mike (trying to change the subject) as Anastasia wondered off into the bathroom.
Billie was ready as ready as he'd ever be. His relationship with Adie didn't really seem to have existed.
