Billie Joe and Adie...A Bond That Will Rock On Forever!, chapter 8
Billie Joe pulled on his Ramones t-shirt and some old pants he had got from a charity shop years ago. He didn't bother to brush his hair, instead he put on a red baseball cap. "So are you and Adie a couple then?" called Mike from the bathroom. He was trying to scrub the pen off himself.
"Well I like her a lot, more than any other girl I've dated," replied Billie Joe. "It would be so cool if we could have a relationship but I'm not sure if thats what shes thinking, plus she lives on the other side of the country," sighed Billie Joe slipping on his converse.
There was only Green Day, Adie and the people who lived in the squat left now, everyone was scattered around the boxy living room eating stale cereal. Adie was talking to Cassey, when Billie entered the room. She looked up and smiled at him as he made his was across the room with a cup of coffee Tre had bought. He sat down on a stained arm chair opposite the sofa Adie was on. "Dude, you need a place to crash for the summer?" asked Spike, one of the people who lived at the squat.
"Yeah, that would be awesome! You sure you've got enough room?" said Billie.
"As long as you don't mind sleeping on the floor!" answered Spike.
"Sure, thats great!" said Billie. Cassey hugged Adrienne and left, giving Billie the evil eye as she walked past. Was that girl ever gonna give it a rest? Billie saw Adrienne looking at him from across the room, as soon as his eyes met her's she looked away. Billie sighed smiling and went over to sit next to Adrienne.
"Hey." She beamed up at him as she scooting across the sofa. "So what do you want to do today?" she asked looking deep into Billie's eyes. "We could meet up with couple of my friends and go hang out by the port?"
"That sound great," answered Billie. "You could give me a tour?" he laughed.
"Awesome! I've gotta go home and change my clothes but I'll meet you here at two o'clock."
"Wait!" Billie sat Adie back down and kissed her casually on the lips, she paused then smiled and put her hand on his back and kissed him deeper. She then got up and left.
"Oooo," said Tre creeping up behind Billie. "So I guess you're more than just friends?" Billie smiled and looked at Tre.
"Don't you think it's about time you put some clothes on?" laughed Billie.
"Oh yeah, I forgot about my extreme nakedness!" said Tre and he wondered off to the bathroom.
Later on that day Billie was hanging out outside a postbox with Tre, Mike and some other guys. Adie's brother Steve was showing off on his skateboard. Steve, like Billie, had recently dropped out of high school to persue a career in skateboarding. "You Billie Joe?" he asked.
"Yup, I think so?" said Billie.
"Huhh? My sister really likes you, she's just had a really tough break up so be careful, plus she's a fireball in bed!" continued Steve.
"WHAAA?" gasped Billie looking at Steve, who was taking a photo of his face.
"Joking duhhhh, you should have seen your face!" he laughed pointing at Billie. Billie let out a sigh of relief and laughed, he got on well with Adrienne's brother, which is always a good thing to know!
Adrienne came walking over the suburban street with a group of friends, she was the type of person who could make friends with anyone, although she seemed shy and sensetive once you got to know her she was bubblely, kind hearted and fun to be with. Her and Billie also had a lot in common when it came to music and they shared the same views on authority.
Adrienne came over and hugged Billie, Tre and Mike she then introduced them to her friends. Luckily for Billie, Cassey wasn't there, according to Adie she now lived way up at the other end of Minesota and couldn't risk hanging around Adie's hometown because her parents might see her. Apparently even though she was old enough to live by herself, her parents were far too over protective and wanted her to live with them so she had ran away. All togeather there was a cool little possé of them. Generally all day they walked around the street fooling around and taking photos. Tre had grabbed an old lady in the street and made out with her for a dare while Mike took a photo. Mike was his usual enthusiastic self, getting along with everyone. This allowed Billie and Adie to fade into the background and enjoy each others company.
As the sun started to set Billie and Adrienne wondered away from the crowd and found an old burnt house in the suburbs and went to hide inside. "This is where me and my friends would go to hide during school sometimes, there's alot of good memories here," said Adie looking around the grey, dirty room.
"Huhh? I thought you were a good girl?" laughed Billie. "You graduated from college and you've got a job."
"No not really, I wasn't as bad as most kids but I wasn't exactly a goody two shoes all the time either," she laughed. Billie pushed her back on the couch and made out with her passionately. Once it was dark die had to go back to her house and Billie returned to the squat. And thats basically how Billie spent the summer, playing gigs in Minnesota, hanging out with Adrienne and generally enjoying life. Little did he know life couldn't go on like that forever...
